Yes, sound issues are heavily looked upon, and they will also be looked upon after the 1.2 release, because...

make of it what you will we may or may not have enough time to iron out all of them before the game hits live just a matter of time so we are gonna keep looking into these because they are of great importance of us just because it adds very much to the game with the immersion and the vibe if occlusion and weather effects and sound effects in general happen like not in a obviously broken state

And that is that if you are in the hub, if you're in the hub and there is weather outside, and in some cases even when there's not weather outside,

The noise occlusion freaks out and you do not hear your milestone pod departing and returning.

So that's being looked at and fixed.
