Yes, and they have been debunked for byproducts being exactly that, byproducts.

Byproducts are things that are created that by definition you do not intend to create or they are something you would rather dispose of

or have to find proper use of even though it might be almost infiltrating or like disturbing is the better word your production line and having sinkable fluids would remove the challenge the logistical challenge of having to be smart about byproducts so that's why you don't have fluids being infinitely dumpable I do believe there's a mod though
