The experimental branch is our pre-release branch and that's where we release any of our major changes or even not so major changes first so that people who are, you know,

or dare to fly close to the sun, can play the features early and test things out, give us feedback.

We can fix things, stabilize things, and then we move things over to the early access branch.

And now everyone who owns Satisfactory has access to the experimental branch, whether you're on Epic or on Steam.
