Mod support is something that we've been thinking about and that's been taken into account when making the game from the start.

It's not something we've given a lot of attention to lately, so it's not something that will be there immediately, but we definitely want it in, and the foundation for it is there.

But it is quite a lot of work to include that into the game, and we just want the foundation finished first.
