Will fluid mechanics also change and be fixed?
Broadly, no.

The behavior will stay the same as currently.
But during 1.2 developments, I mean, you've seen the fluid truck, so why be coy?
During the making and testing of the fluid truck, we did spot a certain few quirks
with the fluid fluctuations that were unintended.
So fluid fluctuating, unlike ore or nodes, is intended, but there may be spots in that fluctuation that are unintended, and if we can snipe those, they will be sniped before 1.2, and that may slightly alter how fluids behave, because in that case they will be bug-fixed, mildly.
