will there be anything not released in experimental held for official release not to my knowledge no to my knowledge damn near everything so everything should be in exp um if it's in working there are a couple things chat there are a couple of things um if you were here for the 1.1 ex 1.1 exp
You may have experienced standard EXP jank.
EXP is there for the reason that we are expecting bugs and we are welcoming any and all people who want to try them out with us from you guys and collect feedback that way.
Mostly, the features of 1.1 were quality of life and glow-ups to existing things .
And there wasn't anything that, like, could really expansively be scary if it bugged out with the 1.1 features.
1.2 is a bit different.
1.2 does have a couple of additions, features, glow-ups that are definitely worth putting through EXP before the live version.
Because...
If these features break, and honestly we expect them to be not fault-free in EXP, yeah, it will be, depending on how heavily you have invested in certain things, your factories may screw up a little.
Which is a great segue into the reminder of, if you are trying EXP for the first time, or even for the umpteenth time,
It's very important to know that you need, and I say need, to back up your save files before you load them on the EXP branch, because if you boot up your save file on the EXP branch and it crashes the fuck out,
There is a risk, a very decent one at that, that that save file will also behave extremely erratically even back on the live branch.
So if you plan on attending the experimental version of 1.2 next month, back up your saves.
Period.
Important.
Do it.
Why don't you just make the EXP branch auto-backup files?
Can you do that?
Maybe you can.
I don't speak that kind of wizardry.
If it's possible, then yeah, maybe we should.
