PC console crossplay?

Don't expect that anytime soon.

We touched on this as well earlier, the thing we would do to solve PC console crossplay is to detach from the Epic Games backend entirely, because that is what we're currently using to set up multiplayer for you guys, and if we would fix or implement PC console crossplay

it would be a much easier time to do so outside of Epic, for reasons.

And we also just kind of want to detach from Epic altogether, for reasons, mainly concerning dedicated server issues.

But moving the entire online multiplayer infrastructure from the backend of Epic to anywhere else is, without it being even the slightest joke, going to cost you, like, something

It's going to cost you the dev time, cost you dev time that could have gone into something like 2.0, essentially.

Not saying 2.0 is happening, but like, in theory, if something the size of 2.0 was on the agenda, yeah, moving the backend is about the same amount of work and man-hours, so don't expect that anytime soon at all.
