Quick side note here is that the rewards pool only consists of alt recipes that you can currently take advantage of.

So as you unlock new tiers in the game, the current rewards pool will increase with alt recipes relevant to your currently unlocked milestones.

This is how it works currently in the game, and there are no changes to this aspect in 1.0.

This means that if you're looking for a specific alt recipe, cast crews in the early game, you'll have a significantly higher chance of finding it by rerolling.

Any currently unclaimed rewards in the hard drive library will also be reserved from the pool when a hard drive is picking rewards from the pool, and this includes rerolls.

So if you want to maximize the chance of getting the alt recipe you want, you can just save up your hard drives until you get the alt recipe you're looking for.

Final thing I wanna mention is that there are still going to be more hard drives scattered around the world than there are alt recipes to unlock.
