It's kind of like,
Kind of like how we haven't really seen much from Final Fantasy 16 yet.
Right.
I was looking for it the other day.
I was like Googling and I'm like, oh, that
Jace
just that one trailer
Snutt
from like a year ago or something.
There's a bit of gameplay, but you know, when I see that trailer, it really looks like it's Final Fantasy 14.
Like I have a hard time distinguishing between.
Jace
It really looks like it's Final Fantasy 15.
Yeah.
It looks like Final Fantasy 15.
It
Snutt
looks like Final Fantasy 15, but it's gone back in time because they don't have like cars and shit like that.
Yeah.
Snutt
True, true.
It's back to, like, it feels a bit like they saw, like, Game of Thrones and were like, we've got to do that.
Because the trailer is very heavy on, like, if I recall, it's been a while since I've seen it, but it was like,
Jace
oh, the House of Blah, got to go get them, fight the things.
Yeah, and this is that sort of, like, the Western fantasy vibe that I don't jive with so well, personally.
And, you know, so when I saw that trailer, you know, it's...
It kind of disappointed me a little because it's not catering to my personal likes.
But, you know, I'm not the only person on the planet, believe it or not.
There are other people who like other things like Final Fantasy eight.
I'm kidding.
Shut up.
Snutt
Yeah, because to me it feels like...
It looks like Final Fantasy XIV.
It feels a bit like Final Fantasy XIV, which I guess makes sense because Final Fantasy XIV is a huge hit for them.
It's the most profitable Final Fantasy game
Jace
they've ever made.
So you think they're trying to get people who are used to the Final Fantasy XIV
vibe or something and coax them into a new, you know, single player entry or something.
It
Snutt
feels like a gateway drug towards like the the next entry or maybe it's the other way around.
Maybe they want to use Final Fantasy 16 to get people into Final Fantasy 14.
Jace
I hope they're not doing that.
i hope that they're doing something that they believe in one way or
Snutt
another um but it's it's also hard like imagine working on the 16th entry you know of a series like
Jace
but you do have the added benefit of final fantasy where none of them are the same you can do anything like if you compare
you know 10 to 15 these two you they don't even look like they're in the same franchise i don't even feel like they're in the same frame
Snutt
it is tricky because like they are different games but like you also don't want them to stand off too much compared to each other because you're still like if you play fun fancy one you know what you expect when you play fun fantasy two kinda so
Jace
like i feel like that has gone out of the window yeah a little bit
The fact that 11 and 14 were MMOs for starters is not the same as the other Final Fantasies.
I don't want to design that game.
Snutt
That's the only thing I know.
That's a lot of
Jace
pressure as well.
Snutt
That's
Jace
a lot of pressure.
But I just hope that they...
you know uh i could pass this off to the viewers even like i mean if if anyone knows any game that is similar to final fantasy 10 in in tone and story um you know visual like visuals in terms of its like direction art direction like anything kind of like that uh you know please let me know because i'm i'm really itching for something again and maybe i just need to play final fantasy 10
Snutt
again
Sorry, this is a bit off topic.
