We're getting closer to a certain 1.2 truth.
I am so hyped for 1.2.
Me too, skilly noob.
Me too.
And it will be here soon, in terms of transparency of what content there is to it.
Because I also want to clarify one thing.
since the last couple of streams.
I need you to be a bit more quiet, Lisa.
I love your music, but I need to hear myself think and not your lyrics blaring in my ears.
Perfect.
Just to be abundantly clear, you are getting a video on Friday, and this video will make it very clear when you can expect 1.2 on the experimental branch.
Now,
Some people, at least from the vibes I'm getting, I'm not talking about a lot of posts, but there are a few posts, and a few posts are all you need to start spreading misinformation.
You're not getting the release date for 1.2 live on Friday.
You are getting the date for 1.2 on EXP this Friday.
Now, I got the question last stream, is all of 1.2 going to be on the EXP branch?
And the answer is yes.
The devs have since confirmed that yes, you will see everything 1.2 has to deliver in the EXP branch.
And then also just to abundantly clarify for newcomers, console players, people who haven't been in here for a very long time, the EXP branch differs from the live branch in that anyone can opt in to play it.
It's not going to be the default way to play the game when the EXP branch goes live.
EXP stands for experimental.
which means it is a test branch where we send content, we expect aspects of it to be broken, because Satisfactory is a very, very complex game, and both because of its complexity and the team's size compared to that complexity, and trust me, our QA people are really fucking good at what they're doing.
We just don't have the, I guess,
I guess manpower, like it's just the sheer quantity of people to at all times test everything from the onboarding to the very end of phase five and explore every single angle, every single habit of building, every single other way of playing the game that you people come up with.
So having the game open on the EXP branch, the open testing branch, is a really, really helpful way for us to gather data about what is broken, in what nooks and crannies that we just wouldn't have found ourselves because, again, we just don't have the hours to play in those scrupulent and very intense ways.
All that is to say that once 1.2 goes into the EXP branch, you can choose to play it, you will be able to see all the content that will be in the EXP until the game then goes live.
So yeah, hire Josh.
We should.
Honestly, for thorough testing, we absolutely should.
I think that could sink.
But then, here is also the thing, chat.
Hiring Josh or anyone else to actually hardcore play the game at all times would push the EXP date to an even later point for you guys.
Do you want that?
Because I guess it could also mean life could come shorter because we are more sure of bugs and shit being squashed.
It also doesn't help that, perhaps obviously, the game just grows bigger and bigger and bigger with every update.
So for every EXP lead up into a live release, we have even more content to test every angle of.
It's rough.
