It's a plan to add PC console crossplay at some point It's not off the table, but it's not a high priority because right now it is very very fucking hard and Bluntly the reason why that is hard is because of our EOS backend and Before we make PC or if we are going to make PC and consoles crossplay at that point we would probably rip the entire bandit off and

rework the multiplayer backend entirely from the ground up to use something else than EOS purely for how cumbersome EOS can be to use between even just EOS and Steam, never mind EOS and consoles.

So, because that's also part of the shenanigans to why you have to make epic accounts even though you want to play together as two separate console users.

So, if we go the length to doing that, we would probably rework the entire backend, so multiplayer on PC also becomes a lot smoother.

The problem with that is that that is a massive undertaking, like, we're talking years, like, easily up to two years of development, full-time development, which would cripple updates coming out for the game.

So, it would be down the line to the point where one, either the team has grown substantially,

Or we just have the efficiency and manpower to do so while also churning out updates.

Or it would be something to look at when we say, okay, we may or may not be done with big updates for Satisfactory.

Let's start looking into cleaning everything up.

So that's the hard reason, unfortunately.
