You got a chance to ask the devs why having more swatches is such a drain on performance.
Well, it is not the case with the plus 128 swatches mod.
No, I didn't.
Well, technically I did, but I did not because that feels like a rabbit hole that nobody really should dive into.
I'm actually I am curious about this because I come from I come from World of Warcraft and FFXIV and FFXIV is weird because they don't actually officially endorse or even support mods in fact they actively are against mods in FFXIV
wow not so i mean okay midnight is weird because midnight actually scorched earth as far as i know add-ons but before then add-ons were a thing and there were so many add-ons that added quality of life or clean ui that we were like and it like it seems to be so easy like if a guy or girl in their attic can do this why can't blizzard with all their multi-trillion dollars dollaroos
And honestly, I always, as a player of the game, would assume that there would be some design choice or design restriction with how we interact with our own backend in particular, or just priorities and the bureaucracy of how we work through a bunch of shit, how people are spread thin attention-wise, all of these factors working against why something so seemingly effortless
Actually just never happens or is even argued to be very unfeasible by devs like we have just argued for the swatches So no, I take the devs word on that it is going to exponentially increase performance Until it doesn't and when it doesn't you'll have your swatches Until then I'm just gonna be on their side on that
