So since the release of 0.8.1, we've seen significant improvements in performance across the board for people, and we are super stoked about that.
So the plan was to release one patch on experimental, that's one patch, just to include those performance fixes, and then focus on working on 0.8.2, which will include upgrading the engine again to Unreal Engine 5.2, which will resolve a bunch of issues
update eight.
However, with the release of 0.8.1, we ended up needing to do a lot of hot fixing as initially dedicated servers on Linux wouldn't boot, people were crashing when joining dedicated servers, pipeline flow indicators broke, crab hatchers and creatures spawning broke.
There were a few issues and we had to take care of that shit.
So we fixed most of those blockers for now, but there are still like a few problems lingering with the current build, has to do with science and whatnot.
But,
we really need to focus on stabilizing the 0.8.2 build.
So at this point, we won't be able to go back and fix up issues related to 0.8.1 anymore, because it's significantly slowing down progress on the stable release of Update 8 as a whole.
