Has a satisfactory hardcore option ever been discussed?

Hardcore satisfactory, as in you die once, you lose your save file, everything is deleted, permadeath, was on the table for 1.2.
It was.
We tried it.
And it makes no sense in our game.
Like, it just doesn't.
Especially considering, like, yeah, you'd think it's as easy as adding that state and then adding a few options boxes.
There is a bit more work that goes into it.
Again, because we have actually pitched and even tested it, the groundwork is kind of there for us to do it eventually.
It was supposed to be part of 1.2.
We opted for a much more, in my opinion, in everyone's here opinion, interesting game mode instead.
So you'll be getting that instead.
Might revisit Permadeath.
So we absolutely have considered it.
I have, in fact, permadied myself.
In Satisfactory.
So, yeah.
