So last time on the episode of the stream, we were talking about... Yeah, it doesn't actually matter.

So we're coming to that time of the year now.

I think it was June or July when we released the first update.

I think it was like two months.

I don't quite remember.

It was pretty close to release.

No, it was after Vacation because I remember that we were having discussions on how to implement the elevators before Vacation and we were all like, we're not going to be able to do that in like a week.

It's going to take forever.

This is pretty tricky.

So yeah, our first update that came out, it got some goodies.

We got conveyor lifts, which before we had conveyor lifts, people would make these like conveyor elevators.

I kind of miss those days because there was a lot of like discussions on Reddit about how like

like how to build the most optimal elevator.

We'll come to a few examples later.

But I thought that was a really good time.

Yeah, we had conveyor lifts.

Yeah, this is one of the examples.

Here is one of the most optimal ones, I think, where if you built a slope, you could place one of the stackable poles so you get the difference there, and then you got a tighter connection.

So yeah, I miss seeing all this stuff.

Yeah, because there were a lot of solutions to the conveyor lifts or the conveyor.

And yeah, people found ways to break arcane ellipse.

Apparently, if you place a stackable pole like this, you'll completely mess it up.

So yeah, this was really cool to see.

It was also really cool to see that people, this was not something we thought was going to happen, but people figured out how to make like circular foundations.

This is really cool.

There's like guides for it and stuff on Reddit.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

And this is something that a lot of people still do.

I think there are mods now to help do this better because it's a pain in the ass to do it.

You have to like place a foundation in the middle and then you have to like place another one, remove the one underneath it and then twist it like on ground because on ground we don't snap and then keep rebuilding until you get all the like rotations and shit.

So really, really cool to see that.

and in the update we also had like quartz research uh we had like the explorer which is like i love that bit in in the in the update video that you made yeah where you're like that's in the video later yeah parodying uh jeff caplan yeah where i'm parenting jeff

And then you break phases.

I could never get it.

And yeah, we added the Explorer.

We added Map and Radar Tower, which I still have yet to use.

Whenever I play Satisfactory, I always start over from the beginning.

So I never get to...

I get tier 5 or something, and then I never try the newer stuff.

So we got Sulfur, we got the Novelist Detonator, which is a lot of fun.

That was kind of also thrown together kind of last second-ish, actually, because we knew that we were going to have explosives in the game, but we didn't know how they were going to be implemented.

So this was around the time when Dylan started working here, which is a friend of mine that I grabbed.

He now works here.

This was his baby.

He made the Novelist Detonator.

So that was one of the first things he did.

And then we had the rifle, the Mark I rifle.

We

accidentally released a Mark II rifle.

Yeah, which was not supposed to be in the game.

This was around the time when we started being more careful with what we put in the builds.
