How do you see the next Simon Saga?

So before we came out of alpha, we had our assignment saga playlist or set of videos, which are something like when we

when we were releasing keys.

Yeah, so the reason this came about

was there was a big gap between when we announced the game and when early access would start and then even a big gap between when the alpha started.

And one of the reasons Simon Saga started was because we had a big subscriber base on YouTube.

And so when we're saying how many keys are being released,

I wanted to put a video on YouTube, just something quick and dirty, so that our folks on YouTube can actually see.

So it just naturally evolved into this Simon Saga thing.

But yeah, it got to this point where everyone was on board, and we started developing lore.

Because

originally, it was like, we wanted to put up a video when we released the keys, and we were like,

what kind of video should we make and i was like let's make a vine like a video or something yeah so the first video is like it's shot you're like looking into the camera or like doing like that we're vining yeah not that vine exists anymore but whatever yeah this tells you how old like boomer okay boomer the kids were using that vine yeah thing yeah the kids are using tick tock now yeah um so yeah the first and then it was like simon's losing the keys and then next video was like

What was the next video?

It was like the head...

the next one got like stepped up oh yeah we made like fucking desktop stuff video stuff for like

yeah that's the one where Simon deleted the keys of we used MailChimp to show a number yeah yeah we read something where it deleted the keys so yeah we did we did these things where it was called Simon saga because oh this is why because we we ended up with 300,000 people signing up for the Alpha okay and we're like whoa that's a lot of people right

And then so when we released keys, we released like a few hundred, like five hundred, six hundred, maybe a thousand.

And a lot of people got frustrated at that because, you know, it's not enough keys.

But we also had to think about ourselves and how

many new people we could manage with feedback.

So we couldn't give all the keys.

And also a fun note that was like when we were announcing Alpha sign up and people were signing up and shit.

And on our Discord, people were like, I wonder how many keys, like, I wonder how many people signed up.

And, like, people were guessing, like, maybe it's, like, 5,000 people.

Or maybe it's, like, and they were really guessing.

And, like, the highest one we ever saw was, like, 50K.

Yeah, yeah.

And we were like, it's not, it's not 50K.

And people were, like, doing statistics, like...

Like, fucking like, okay, but if they release this many keys in this certain amount, like, then I'm guaranteed to, like, get a key within this certain amount of time if there were only 50,000 people signed up.

But the truth is...

But the truth was... No one was

guaranteed a key.

We couldn't give that many keys out.

And yeah, so we would then blame Simon for it, so that he was the bad guy.

He was, like, taking all the keys, and we couldn't give... We wanted to give more keys out, but Simon would ruin everything.

So that's what the Simon Saga was.

It was just this weird, quirky series of videos...

Just explaining why Simon and how Simon is ruining everything, basically.

We were both like, fuck.

And so we, I think we filmed for, was it two or three days?

16 hours of filming.

And then we edited for two whole days.

Because I worked the entire weekend.

Yeah, but I think we shot, like, I think we filmed Thursday, Friday, and then we worked Saturday and Sunday.

Because on Monday the video went up, I think.

So we worked on Monday as well to finalize it.

So yeah, we spent like three days.

And that was the first time we also, both of us worked on editing.

Usually it's like, I make this video, you edit it.

And like, I made this video, you edit it.

So, but that time we both did it at the same time.

And we had

two sound guys with us as well.
