    The epic backend issue.

Are any of the other Unreal Engine focused studios under CS doing non-epic backends that could be collaborated on?

I don't know, and I don't know how privy we are to that info.

    It's probably not that secret.

But I don't think it's something we can just go and look up ourselves.

We would have to, like, ask, I think.

When will the multiplayer netcode be overhauled to fix late game issues like DCs and lags?

Was it too early to switch from UE4 to UE5?

    No.

The switch absolutely has effects that we still feel today, especially with the multiplayer netcode.

It most definitely was not too early.

Because the principle that holds true 99.9% of the time is that if you can do an engine upgrade, do it as soon as you can.

Because the only thing that's gonna happen if you stave off making an engine upgrade, especially

when the first number in the engine goes up so from three to four or four to five um the only thing that's gonna happen by waiting is it's just gonna be even more and more and more too late the pain is growing fast if you delay if you delay engine upgrading unreal 7 when unreal 6 when yeah yeah

Tech that is real with engine upgrades.

    It is fucking horrifying.

We'll drop the F-bomb for that, even though I dropped it pretty loosely anyway.
