post video speech of my mind uh but we have that coming we're very happy to bring you daisy chaining we're very happy to bring you the vehicle rework not in the least oh my god oh the post yesterday was it yesterday on reddit where yet another post about vehicles just randomly doing their thing stopping not getting anywhere and i really just wanted to there and then be like
Just one more day, Pioneer.
Just one more day, Pioneer.
Went up to Nick, was like, yo, Nick, can we gig a guarantee that the vehicles will never stop unless you are the one who screwed up, Pioneer?
And he's like, yep.
So, that's his word.
I mean, maybe not in experimental, but at least when 1.2 hits live, hopefully.
But even in EXP, they are looking real solid.

I see Mago Makes on YouTube.
Do I have to repath all of my existing trucks?
No.
Those will exist as an uneditable path.
You can delete it, but you can't adjust it.
it depends so the physics changed a lot with the vehicles with this update so if you had some some vehicles that had a path going off a cliff or something like that you're now gonna see it follow the line exactly instead of react to game physics um and that leads me to my next point which is that now the the legacy vehicle paths uh are no longer usable you can't like um you can't make new ones yes uh it all uses the new pathing system yes
Mikael
Which is what makes it even more important.
Like you couldn't go back to 1.1 if you load a save up on EXP anyway.
But to be triply sure that nothing freaks the hell out, back up your saves on EXP.
And if in particular vehicles have a bit of a moment on the experimental branch in...
Just 10 minutes.
Yeah.
Maybe, maybe on EXP there is this slight risk of you just having to rebuild everything from scratch.
But if you do, it will be with the new pathing system.
Again, EXP is here for testing purposes.
Back up your save.

Q&A: Will there be traffic lights?

Jason
Will there be traffic lights?
Not with 1.2.
I don't know if there's plans for traffic lights for vehicles.
No.
Don't hold me to that.
Mikael
Maybe
Jason
not.
But they do respect each other, though.
Yes.
I will say that.
Yes.
So, like, if a truck sees another one coming, like, they will stop and wait.
And they'll, like, zipper in.
Yes.

And in lieu of this update coming...
You heard it here, chat.
I'm gonna throw down a gauntlet in front of Emmett right now and say I am gonna bring road building to the discussion table internally in the coming weeks.
We'll see if we can have some roads.
From my end.
Let's fight for that.
A little feature request from the community.
Patch notes.
Uzi's typing one like and I drop the update in seven minutes.
Cool.
and it
Jason
said where we're going we don't need roads we
Mikael
don't need roads shit what is that supposed to mean planes confirmed oh my god we're going up about we're going airborne sky sky age
Jason
uh

Jason
So will freeform vehicle pathing be gone forever?
Yes.
So, I mean, you can still drive the vehicles and have them respect physics, but all of the vehicles now align to the paths that you set.
Yeah.
Mikael
It means we are not in Kansas anymore.
