Are there plans for adding an alternate recipe for modular engines allowing to complete project assembly without needing oil?
No.

Which is also a big one as to why I start using AGS or even hard internal cheats every time I reach phase 5 and 6.
Again, my current save is the one I'm trying to reach complete PA for the first time without cheating or AGSing.
But oil is needed, and oil is a hurdle.
