[Music] I lost chat immediately. Where the [ __ ] did you guys go? Oh, I found you. Hello. Hi. Hello. Can you hear me? It looks like Oh, yes. No. Yeah, we are still here. Okay, good. So, you can hear me. Excellent. You were never here. Nope. Yes. Hello, new Snoot. Oh, yeah. Now, keep those cards open cuz you're going to need them. You're going to need them. I'm I'm anticipating the camera, the microphone, my third monitor, my mouse, always the mouse. God's sake, if you if you've been here before, you know, everything to go belly up today. We God, how long's it been, chat? June, July. I already see the camera is like slightly offset to the left or maybe right. I don't know. My right, your left. Uh, we'll live with that. Screw it. I don't I don't care. I don't care. I can be slightly off center. It's tilting. Just don't use wireless stuff. That's the first thing I learned. See, everything is wired. Can I Can I Do you see this? Do you see this mouse chat? Listen. Like, they provide me with the There we go. It's wired with the best tools for the job. This thing weighs like three grams. It's insanely feather light. My bingo card is broken. Uh, when I laugh it, the mic peaks in OBS. That's probably fine. Like, that's probably like I haven't really seen anyone instantly cry about too loud or anything. So, I'm going to bet I'm going to bet we're kind of we're kind of stable, which I did not expect. Again, by rule, OBS OBS needs to, have some sort of meltdown. Anytime you take any semblance of a break, two weeks, you're out. OBS will make you remember, will make you Oh. Oh, you thought you could stream again, did you? Oh, you thought it would be seamless, did you? Oh, you thought I saved your settings for you, did you? [ __ ] please. Whoever laughs. Anyway, don't be like that. This year has been insane. Like, this year has been insane. Um, I'm just going to chat before before like before people already start clamoring. We are going to talk about Satisfactory today. Yes, we are. Uh we're going to talk a little bit about me today or I mean just community in general and about you guys. Uh we are going to boot up the game today. You see the, that tab right over there, bug talks. Uh that's going to be me opening the game and showing to you exactly what bugs are focused on right now. Uh and we're going to go for two hours. So we're going to go slightly past 6 p.m. That's fine. I've had, I have permission and [ __ ] Uh no FF content. Listen listen. I still hold that the current savage tier is the best one they've made ever. Well, I haven't actually properly at all played Bahamut or Alexander, so I can't speak for those, but Cruiser might just still be it. And I still have not played that game since a I did I stress raided. I stress raided to, shake some anxiety off right before the 1.1 launch stream. So June June and I was not going to until the next savage tier, but this quantum fight is looking like my kind of jam and peanut butter, so who knows? Uh is sound breakup is real. Oh, so we have sound issues. Is it only one guy trolling me or is it actually like a bit annoying? Uh where is Jason? Jason is currently hard at work at something else. Uh yeah, I'm going to be streaming alone today and, we are going to be streaming multiple times a week for a little bit until console release and it will mainly be me doing dev streams on Tuesday like usual. And we are also going to be gameplay streaming chat cuz I am going to be the first coffee stainer in this office because every coffee stainer working on Satisfactory is right here in this office., to beat the game on controller. Nobody has done that yet, even when the game was only internal. 1.1 was only internal. So stay tuned for that. Jason is [ __ ] busy with, with other stuff. So some dev streams may have a Jason, may not have a Jason. Uh we shall see stream by stream. Yep, I'm stuck alone and you guys are stuck alone with me. So if you tuned in to see his pretty mug, I am afraid you will have to leave disappointed. But I shall do my best to be two people. I shall do my best to fill the void unless he comes in and like just waves cameo waves. But that would mean if he comes in on cameo waves, that means 15 seconds less spent working on the next juicy video for you guys. So take that to heart. Uh refreshing, hoping it will fix it. Oh no, he's here, isn't he? [ __ ] I thought I don't want to work right now. It's almost the end of the day. You're getting paid, [ __ ] >> Oh. Oh. Oh, wait. Yeah. >> Since when? >> Wait, did I forget to wire you the money? >> I should. >> Uh, I got >> Have you been eating properly? >> Oh. Oh, well. Uh, I might have to work till 7 today. 8. It'll be fine. [Laughter] You bet. He was watching that stream. Uh, new tech can fix. What have we What have we done? Controller is my kind of gaming. Same. Oh, yeah. You You play You play FF on controller. I already forget. I haven't tuned into anyone anyone on Twitch for like, until last week when I was slightly curious about Quantum. I haven't just watched anything. But ah what I have done is I've been working. I've been working all summer mostly. I was kind of, okay. So let's let's start from there. Uh 1.1 released back in June. We streamed the week after that. And then the entire office more or less went on vacation as they should for summer except for a skeleton crew just keeping the game afloat who are now taking breaks like, sporadically. Uh and I was one of them. I was one of the people standing, just on standby in the office for summer because my vacation was always planned to be in Japan. Um so what happened during summer? Oh well, a bunch of internal stuff that I can't share with you, because that will be slated very soon on the schedule. But, mainly I mean mainly what's been going on is that that I can share with you openly for the community team is that we just kind of have like taken a little introspective at our workflow for the past year. I mean since N left and even when he was still around just what the workflow was like, what felt good, what felt bad, what felt stressful, what do we want to keep. So we had a little like flush out of, old systems, rearranging of old systems that we want to keep. Uh some new guidelines for how we should work, what kind of tasks should be delegated between individuals, what tasks make sense to be spread among individuals, what tasks make sense to have as shared projects and shared epics. If you use any of these, organizational websites, you have your Jiraas, you have your Mondays, you have your whatever it may be. Uh and a bunch of physical redecoration. I've moved in real life and I moved kind of offices. Uh I moved one office adjacent to where the streaming room is. I'm in the streaming room right now. Uh and also the streaming room was due for a massive reshuffle after the 1.1 stream. So, there's been a lot of lots and lots and lots and lots of behind the-scenes work going on for summer. And then Japan happened for September, which was amazing. And, when August came around and Japan was like two weeks ahead of me, I was like, damn, time flew. Time just went by like no one's business. And now it's October. Before you know it, we're all dead. Sorry, chat. That was oppressive. Redacted. Uh blackout curtains. Oh, you know what? In the hazard, we really should have ordered them. Uh, probably can get them done actually. It's just a little minor detail. Ordering and setting them up should be fine. Uh, this year is flying past and not in the least because this year, so I was among other things among other things in Tokyo. I was at Tokyo Game Show and this year has been [ __ ] crazy. Is that the first fbomb of the new stream? Maybe. Um, it's been [ __ ] crazy for new games. This year slaps. Like, we have had Clare obscure, we have had Blue Prince, we have had Hollow Knight Silkong, we have had Monster Hunter Wilds, we have had the Alters, we have had Peak, we have had Hades 2, we just had Ghost of Yote, we have had Final Fantasy Tactics if you count remakes, which you should because this game is honestly one of, including 14. By the way, Tactics is straight up one of the best FF games out there. Period. Like period. Um, there's been so many good games. We have BF6 just now. Not my jam, but still. That happened. And apparently that's a really good BF game. Uh, it's been nuts. And that kind of leads us into a little news drop I can share. Can I share it with you today? [ __ ] it. I'll do it anyway. Why not? Uh, we're going to the Golden Joystick, which honestly is absolutely nobody's secret because we're both meant to be there to hand off our trophy from last year, which is PC game of the year. And, if you haven't noticed, Satisfactory has been nominated. Thank you guys for best still playing on still ongoing PC game, I believe the title is among a cavalcade of other like Titanic titles. So, that'll be interesting. But yeah, that happened. So, Oh, hello Bits. Yeah, see you there. Elvis is sick. Uh, a couple of us will be hanging out at the joystick in London, I believe, on the 20th of November, I want to say. Uh, might get that wrong, but yeah, you can Google that date yourself. Thank you. And honestly, that nomination is to you guys. Thank you so much for nominating us. Thank you so much for supporting us. Uh, and again, especially just being able to be there and share in that event, share in that glory and meet some of those devs. Again, coming from this absolutely stacked year of gaming is going to be very fun. Uh, if I meet anybody from Sandfall, cuz I'll be there if I meet anybody from Sandfall or I don't think Team Cherry usually appear at global events. They have some representative doing it for them. But if I meet any of Sandfalls or Super Giants or Team Cher's developers, I will be down on my knees, in veneration. Nothing else. So, that'll be fun. Where is the London pub meet? Uh how about we discuss that in the 1.2 closed beta channel where you and I both hang out every day, right? Okay. Yeah, I'll hit you up later, man. Uh thank you, Miss Moody. Let's me let me catch up on chat. I'm not really used to this. Uh how does how how do stream again? Uh is the FF Tactics game on Steam the same story as the PlayStation game? Yes. Yes, it should be. Uh I still I loved the PS1 game to pieces. I still haven't had time to play the, the remake, but I am looking forward to that insanely much cuz I am still addicted as [ __ ] to Hades 2. Uh, but it should be a very faithful remake and it has the option to just straight up play the old school game. Like everything is just set up exactly like the old school game or the remastered remade like I mean everything graphical fidelity, sounds, mechanics, everything which has been done incredibly faithfully apparently. So I am very stoked to hear this about a remade Final Fantasy game and I am stoked to play that ASAP. Uh, I am aiming to be personally at the, F14 FanFest next year. Yes, I am. Depending on when that is in Europe's case because, 2 days after getting back from Japan, chat, in case you missed it, I was in Japan for basically all of September. Um, the moment I came back from Japan, it took me and someone else at Coffee Stain two days back at the office before we realized we kind of really want to go back. So, we went ahead and ordered tickets for Japan for September next year, I'll be gone there as well. See you. Uh, so now you know that if, if the FanFest, I mean, if the Japanese FanFest happens, then then maybe that's a possibility. But, yeah, September next year, I am piecing out to Tokyo once more. That'll be sick. Uh, yes, we have the Q&A session open. Just type exclamation mark AMA and you can ask anything you want for the Q&A session at the very end of this stream. One of his suggest, will there be pre-orders for the console version? No, but if you do exclamation mark consoles, you can wishlist the game on both the Xbox and the PS5 store pages. Those are the consoles you will be seeing the game release on on November the 4th, which is also another reminder I was supposed to well remind you of anyway for today's stream. November 4th chat. Uh there is not even a month left until that happens. And, to tie into that, we I say we I am going, if you missed it at the very beginning of the stream, I am going to be playing Satisfactory quite a bit on the stream and on my own stream on controller, the 1.1 PC version that is trying to be the first ever coffee stainer in the multiverse, at least the universe, to beat the game on controller before consoles hit. And if I don't do that, I'll just beat it after consoles hit. I've lost some time cuz the catching up the catching up back to work after Japan took longer than expected. I was hoping I could do this dev stream, last week's Tuesday, which was incredibly naive in retrospect. I don't believe- I don't understand how anyone at least of all me let that fly in the like in my proposed planning for my own schedule in October considering that Tuesday last week was my very first day back at work from Japan. So yeah, it was always going to be a giga long shot and I just didn't realize you know cuz sometimes quite usually I don't think that far ahead. Ah long time no speak. What's up Michael? You're in here. Nice, nice seeing you around. Uh, speedun. Ah, the controller isn't really catering for a speedrun. Nah, this will be this will be a cozy run. Uh, I am going to be playing quite extensively again on and off hours. It is a fun game after all. Doesn't only have to be work chat. But, there will be no like insane rush. If we beat it after consoles, we'll be or yeah, after consoles, it'll be after consoles. It's no real big. Ah, it took me four days to fall back into the, aspartame addiction post Japan. Thank you for asking. Ah, I went to Japan this year as well. I want I want to go back so bad. You and me both. You and me both. So, actually, super slight spoiler, Coffee Stain is getting a nice little Christmas break as well. Um, I'll not give you the exact dates, but it's I mean, it's a decent chunk of days that we will be, allowed a Christmas breather. And the days were like just nice enough in terms of like, positioning in the calendar like just which days, and how many days they were that I was like oh that sounds like I can do that sounds like I can do a quick little back and forth to Japan again just in a couple of months. I checked Christmas prices for flights around Christmas and, safe to say I will not be going to Japan for Christmas. It'll be September next year. But when I do go back next year, I will be climbing Mount Fuji first thing I do. That'll be sick. I wanted to this year, but, but, the trail to walk up to the summit of Fuji closed like the day I landed actually. So, as an afterthought, it wasn't possible, but next year I will be going with the intention of doing that first and foremost. It was sick. I, caught up with a bunch of old friends, ate a bunch of old food, met a couple of my old teachers, saw some new places, a bunch of old places. Uh my a couple of my favorite spots. One was incredibly recognizable in Kitty Georgie and one had changed incredibly much, but was still very lovable in Shimokazawa. So, it was amazing being back there. I was so happy. like the best part of the, entire trip minus the food or also by the way I don't think I said it out loud in the video I sent before going to Japan, we were six of us from this office in Japan all at once taking our, like the core of the skeleton crew this summer took their vacation in September to Japan. So there were six of us hanging out over there and that was insane. like that was I've lived in Japan before for a couple of years in total and being back to my old places and back among like old friends and then within that same like even same days at one point and same week in that in that environment meeting my friends from coffee stain god that that that shrunk the world down to nothing. The world is so small it is so incredibly tiny. I love it. Japan is not far away at all. Oh, as long as you come back, we can't lose more community fighters. I can assure you, chat, I am not going anywhere. Uh, I've been thinking lately. I highly highly appreciate everything that Coffee Stain does for us, us working here, and just how fun this is. Cuz, believe it or not, chat, I've missed you. I know, right? That's like kind of emotional. I don't I've missed you. I'm soft. I'm not going anywhere. Exactly what the last two guy Ah, [ __ ] I guess you'll see my Monday video. I'll try to last at 2027. Uh I'll try to make it at least past 2.0. Maybe 2.1. Um cuz 2.1 is like the the idealization of 2.1 is I mean 2.0 is looking fat in its own right, but 2.1 is looking like Oh god. Oh god. O the water physics. The water physics. It'll be sick. It'll be sick. Ah, there we go. [Music] Yeah. How's that for a bone, chat? Now, if you take it and run with it, that's up to you. And the underwater biome and the water skiing. Especially the water skiing. our programming programmers are re reeling at the water physics. Uh that's the long and short of me. Sorry chat. I think I'm missing a few questions again. I'm trying to like, I'm trying to, multitask and do any kind of stream for the first time like in a long ass while. So I might be missing a fair few of your remarks or questions. But as we keep warming up, it should be fine, right? Satis Satis naughty cuttery. What about Saddy's factory? Uh, and if we do an underwater biome, surely the crab boss returns, right? Surely. Uh, what are the secret features PC players will get on the 4th of November? Our game director is in the chat. Ask him. Uh, I miss Japan more than the than you guys, you mean? I mean, yeah, true. Absolutely. Yeah. As like if you if if they come down to me and they're like, "Yo, you can either stream every day for a week or you can go to Japan for a week, I would pick you guys cuz flying over there and back for only a week is not worth it. That travel time is insane." Like, oh god, that flight, direct flight from Stockholm, by the way, took 13 hours. So, I would be your champion, chat. Imagine that. Mhm. For logistical reasons. Don't Don't let that get to your head. Okay, good, good, good. Stream from Japan. O, there was a certain beat we joked about, which would be kind of funny to have sent and which would include me sending a little something to you guys from Japan, but we opted out eventually. I for no real reason other than really I just wanted that to be a full-on vacation vacation, which like people ask, how it was the one word I will use for I mean Japan sure but the concept of vacation in general it was needed, not only for work mind you like life like trust like if you haven't no matter no matter what your life is like no matter how chill everything is no matter how happy you are with your job, your relationships, your surroundings. I had forgotten I had forgotten what it's like to leave town, even the entire country for just a couple of weeks and like actually properly disconnect cuz even when I've had vacation in previous years, I've mostly kept to sometimes Genber cuz my family lives there. Um, and over there it's just been the I mean same old thing, same old routine like you still meet the same people, still talk to the same people, speak the same language. Uh, even I mean everything around like the thing you the things you eat, the lifts, the weights you lift, the gyming, everything is like the same just minus work. So properly properly disconnecting from whatever your life is if you have the opportunity. Oh god, I had forgotten what a cleansing effect that is. cuz I don't think I've had anything anything longer than two weeks away from or Sweden. It's like Goththingberg since before co and that's like six years ago. How is that by the way for making you feel old six years ago? People who were born during COVID are now learning how to speak like actually hold conversation. That's insane. That is actually insane. Ah, Mik mentioned the crab bus. I leaked it right there with the Subnautica biome. You can be happy that you can live. Yeah, I mean, yeah, life's pretty good all things considered. And oh my god, like, do I want to move to Japan? If someone came to me today and asked, "Yo, your life teleportable teleportable like everything's set up. you just wake up in Japan instead and you keep going at your business. Would I take the offer? No. Not today. Not tomorrow. Not this week. Uh cuz by God, I love Sweden. I love Sweden. Uh which I also realized over in Japan. I love Japan, too. But for now, Japan is great in doses. All right. Conversation. We, were making a game in this office. Unless you didn't know, if that might be news to you. We're making a game called Satisfactory here at Coffee Stay Studios. And, right now we are on the leadup to consoles. Again, I said earlier it is, releasing on the 4th or they are releasing Xbox and PS5 are releasing on the 4th of November. So what's going on in the office right now for that? Uh do you know about WPplays pixel game? No, I don't know about this. Satis what? I know, right? Uh we've said in the past that consoles have been the full focus, like the absolute focal point of this office, and that's been true. The vast majority of dev horsepower, in fact, at times all of it was going towards consoles. Uh and right now, I mean, the release date is set and it is very close. So, that naturally naturally leads into us just being in the cleanup phase, right? Uh we're cleaning the last little bits up. We are bug fixing. We are monitoring to see that everything will be stable on release. Um and that means that I mean yeah like you you'll need a crew for that obviously but surely surely not everybody not everyone in the office is like hawking consoles to make sure nothing burns right. You don't need in fact 30 people hawking consoles is detrimental contra just like maybe I don't know any numbers but I would wager like 8 n 10 maybe, maybe even less. So besides that we have confirmed that 1.2 is coming up next in terms of new content updates and that is hitting, 1.2 two is going to hit soon TM when it's ready. Uh it will contain some content for you all when it is ready. And until then, I couldn't resist. I'm so sorry, Seagull. I really could not resist. I didn't plan to do that. I just felt that in my bones like, "Oh, I'll make them I'll make them remember why they were happy I was gone for so long." Uh, it's not going to hit 1.2 is not coming out this year and it is going to, contain I mean roughly be at the same size as 1.1 and we are going to talk about stuff for 1.2 when it is ready. Will there be a 2.0? Who knows? Who knows? There will be a 2.1, but will there be a 2.0? We'll cross that bridge when we get there. Um, you also can expect you also can expect to not see any massive gameplay patches for the game until next year. We do have a lot of bugs on our radar that we feel are pressing for that have come out since 1.1 released and honestly who that have been circulating even before 1.1 did launch and we are going to showcase some of them and talk about the those in this bug talks section in a second, because we are going to show you guys in detail exactly what the focus of the programmers and QA is at at the moment besides the vague in the background 1.2 development and maybe something else. Uh we do want to share with you today concrete stuff about what is going on for the, I mean foreseeable future in terms of quality of life updates or fixing that you can expect moving into next year. Uh but the last thing I want to say about Satisfactory's vague future before we move into the concrete future is that, we have said in the past and honestly like you have to forgive me post vacation I actually cannot remember if we confirmed if we have confirmed this already but I'll just repeat myself right now if we have, at the start of this year moving into 1.1 we did bring you on the spiel of we are kind of uncertain where to take the game overall. We were open about un being unsure about sending huge patches, numbered updates, paid DLC, expansion packs, what have you, 2.0. We had no idea. Um we are very very much less in that gray area. Now we are working with tangible goals rather than flailing out in the dark. Uh that's what I can give you for the long term of Satisfactory besides 1.2. concrete limestone foundations. New foundations confirmed. Ah, it's a stretch if anything. Ah, so that's how that goes. Uh, I was going to say something giga clever that I dropped, so it probably wasn't that clever. Uh, and it'll probably hit me straight in the noggin as we boot up the game soon enough. Can you add baseball to the game with Noveilisk as the I mean, I mean, sure, I wouldn't be opposed. Uh, was golf on. No, really? Oh, wait. You haven't you haven't found the golf course? [ __ ] This game has been 1.1 has been out for like what, four months now? Really? It's been right there. Do we have any idea of release times regions for the 4th of November? I need to know if I need to book Tuesday off work as well as the rest of the week. Um, I will be straight up with you. Discussions about what time to release on Tuesday, November 4, is being discussed right now, right now. So hopefully that is set very very, soon in stone. And if it is, I will ask if I can bring that to your attention as soon as possible, which should be quite easy because again, this stream will actually be open for gameplay reasons mostly, but also, I mean, I'll be here. You can ask me anything and I can drip feed you information as it fits if stuff comes my way. Uh, will we finally get square foundations? I swear I played this game. Aren't they square already? Surely they're four times four, right? Oh, wait. Do you mean like do you mean perfectly like cubic like actually like, But we have cubic ones as well. I mean, we're booting the game up in a second, so we'll we'll we'll we'll figure out soon enough. Mercphere football. Oh, I love how how I love how you guys are taking to the, 1.2 command. You can't expect me to come back and just be like workable, can you playing Blitz Pod with a Merc? Uh, okay, good. I'm not losing it. No, like No. Yeah. No. In like Yeah. Yeah. In some respects, I absolutely am slightly taking a piss. In other respects, I am the easiest target right now, Chad. still very still very much in warm-up/catchup mode from vacation that the the trip by the way it felt like in the best way possible it felt like forever like so many so many different I mean Tokyo if you've been there you know if you haven't you haven't Tokyo is I think I think bit for bit the largest city in the world and it really is a layer cake like it is 23 cities built on top of each other, straight up the central wards, Shinjuku, Ikibukuro, Tokyo station itself, to an extent, Shibuya and so on. Like the the city like it's not the buildings or the stations, the city itself has floors. So, like that's that's the amount of just even if you've lived there before, that's the amount of impressions and just new stuff hitting your bay constantly on top of meeting people, on top of eating, not people, eating food, and just spending time. Like, it felt like that trip, like it felt like a gillion things happened and that it took forever and it was amazing., Tokyo and also which by the way I learned I learned in Japan that I don't really unanimously love Japan. I love Tokyo cuz we went the coffee scene crew went to Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Kinosaki and then back to Tokyo. And, out of three and a half weeks a total of in my case 11 days were spent in Tokyo. And I absolutely prefer Tokyo to any other place in Japan right now. So, so chat, will community highlights be back on the dev streams? They will. They will, but, hopefully next week. In fact, I'll promise you next week cuz I want them to be back. I love highlights. Uh, but they take time to set up and time is the one thing I have not had since returning here. We are going to hop into bug talks. The agenda is working as well. Oh my god. Is I'm jinxing OBS to death now, but holy moly. Are we just are we just going to cruise through like cruise through a stream without tech issues after 4 months away? That is incredible. Did we visit Jason in Japan? No, we did not. Uh we were aware of Oh [ __ ] game. I- I guess I'll just do this. Screw it. Is that the first tech hiccup? Oh, there we go. Don't hide my beautiful face, game. Don't do that to me. Damn. Um, no, we we were aware Jason was in Japan and we even I think we were in Osaka at the same time, but, just I mean six people in our group, a million plans, a million interests, our paths just did not cross. Uh, hope he's having a wonderful time there. I know he's there for three weeks, which three months, sorry. Which is Yeah, I'm jealous. Color me jealous. I literally just jinxed it, didn't I? Just a little, just a little wrong button mishap. Uh oh my god. God, this this this game. Another fun thing, chat. I was, slightly slightly cleaning up the save in preparation for showing you the bugs we are about to talk about today. Uh and that's when I realized I haven't played this game. I haven't played this game with keyboard and mouse since I swear to God it's like it's February cuz it's before 1.1 exp cuz we obviously could play 1.1 before you guys could even on exp. And, keyboard mouse I hate to say it but keyboard mouse for this game now truly just feels like work mode and controller truly feels like game mode. So, we're working right now, chat. I'm not getting paid to play games here. I'm working. All right, enough yapping about that. Um, I've been vague about Satisfactory Future. What bugs for now? And these are not the only ones, by the way, but for now, what bugs can you expect the team to have high focus on at the moment? Let me get my cheat sheet out so I remember everything to orient through. And I'll also bring you guys up right next to this cheat sheet. What controller am I using? I am using the Dual Sense, PS5 controller cuz I just I'm a PS boy. What can I say? I never I've never owned any Xbox personally. Nintendo consoles, sure, but never Xbox before. PlayStation. Uh got this all back. Was it supposed to hide bugs? See, I was thinking, but, something something transparency, something something bug-free game, something something. No biggie. Um, all right, chat. First and foremost, I have a question for you guys. How many of you make a new save sometimes in Satisfactory, and you're having the most wonderful time? you're building this and that and it's getting like it's, you're building from small blocks onto something bigger and then it's time it it comes time to use blueprints cuz it's starting to get complex and you really just want to put chunks down. You really just want to put chunks down, in a go with a blueprint designer. How many of you have saved blueprint designers only to have them not be, detectable or you can't find them anywhere in this game? I think that's been a thing since 1.1, maybe even update 8. Uh but definitely since 1.1. Definitely me. Yes. Good. Good. Cuz that is on the radar. Uh that is on the radar. It's a very funny thing because blueprints blueprints of which I have, I believe none actually saved. Do I? I don't think so. Uh no I don't. Blueprints are detected by looking in your saved game folder in the actual Windows search bar. like in the actual Windows search field when you find your folder inside your hard drive, that's where the game, looks for the blueprints you save in a specific blueprints folder. So if you use any characters resembling these, maybe not dash actually, but definitely this one, definitely that one, this one. Probably question mark because you know, Windows and stuff. If you use any of these letters or something similar in your dot as well, there we go. In your save game file name, your blueprints will not be detectable. Oops. Uh, so we are working we are working on, somehow making that possible. Uh, it should be doable even if, you know, we can't fundamentally change the Windows, compatibility with these signs letters. Obviously, we can still probably make something happen on your on our end, but until then, if you find that blueprints are not detectable, changing your saved game file, both in the actual folder and in the game, save game file name, will make them pop up again. So, it's blueprints across game saves. Well, if that is the case, then it would make sense if these game saves. I mean, wait, no, actually, because no, it would make sense if all these saves have some sort of, what's the word I'm looking for? Uh not not unacceptable, but God, I swear Japanese pops up to my head before English right now, which is annoying and very like I love it, but also it's, incompatible. That's the word. Exactly. This is software dev 101. Sanitize your inputs. Um, so yeah, if you could kindly refer from using any incompatible signs or letters that Windows can't like actually properly save in its file pathing, then yeah, please refrain from doing that. And you should be able to save blueprints and have them findable wherever you so please. Um, a funny one. I actually learned something from your bug reports, chat. I saw something on the QA site and I was like, "You guys, are you trolling me right now?" I had no idea. So, you see, you see now, chat, how these items, the parachute is on the left most lot of equipment shortcuts. It's even called shortcuts, which makes me feel even stupider. Uh, it's on the leftmost basically button one position, and you have button two, button three. These are actual shortcuts I learned recently. By pressing one, you equip your parachute onto your back immediately. And now the jetpack is in slot one. Bam. Now that is on your back. Yeah, that took me four digit hours to, be told, which is again I do work here, I promise. The funny thing about this one though, funny thing about this one though is that if you mouse over any random item except for the item itself in your inventory and now press one intending to send your parachute onto your back, you will instead drop it straight into the dimensional depot. Oops. Uh that's also, you know, I think that's also a, pre an issue predating. No, wait. This issue does not predate 1.1 because I believe the main suspect right now is something broke with these shortcuts as we implemented controller support in preparation for 1.1. Um so, if you have experienced this we also have eyes on this and we're I'm kind of unsure personally again just no time to catch up if there is something similar akin to this with controller as well say again okay yeah so if you mean the bug say you have equipment in your shortcuts here this is shortcut one for the chainsaw shortcut two because you know leftmost is one and then middle is two and then this would Okay, now this is one, two, three. Um, you want to equip the, object scanner into your main hand, and you happen to have your mouse hovering over any any odd inventory item in your bag, and you press one, instead of sending the scanner onto your hand, you will be sending it, if you check down here, as I press, you will be sending it straight into the dimensional depot instead. And that's a bug, an, interaction bug of some sort. Again, main suspect being controller support, rocking this boat somehow. So, we have eyes on that. We call that undefined behavior. Uh if you do miss shortcuts being, more or less like flawless in the inventory, don't worry. We are working on getting those back for you as well. Ah, so we have Why are bugs so funny? Uh, just use longer cuts. I knew I missed you guys for a reason. Uh, so that's another one. Chat, how many of you take offense that Coffee Stain is the greediest company out there? Wait, what if you haven't Hang on. What if you haven't unlocked the Dimensional Depot yet? I couldn't I couldn't I couldn't tell cuz I'm not playing this game without the DD ever again. Uh greedy. We are super greedy. We are cuz hear me out. Hear me. Oh god. I need to remember now. Uh I need to remember, painted beam is definitely before 1.1. Even I know that much. See painted beam. You place this painted beam here. It's costing you exactly one steel, steel pipe. Steel. Oh god. words. Um, one steel beam. You see here how it still costs you one, right? Bam. It's still one steel beam. I know it's beam pipe and then it goes to two after 4 m of beam. Can anyone tell me where I'm heading with this one? 1 m. 2 m, 3 m, 4 m, you still pay one steel beam. 5 m, it goes up to two. And then, of course, 8 m, two, 9 m, three steel beams. Duping, no subsequent costs more. Close. Place four * 1 meter, you lose the stuff. No. Apparently, apparently, this this is 1.1. Yes, this goes for cables as well. Beams, cables, all of them. Anything introduced in 1.1 will charge you for one steel beam per meter. So you hop on to eight, you're paying eight steel beams. Painted beam 8 m, you're paying two steel beams. Braided cable 8 m, you're paying eight steel beams. Inflation has hit. We're telling you, man. This world is going to ch to to [ __ ] and Coffee Stain is just doing its best to, tag along with that, I suppose. Uh no, it's it's a math bug somewhere. The stuff introduced in 1.1 architecture should not be costing more than its pre 1.1 counterparts. This is going to be fixed as soon as possible as well. So, if you have been paying, actually, if I place this now, at least it still refunds me eight steel beams, right? That's always something. At least we're honest like that. Steel beam tariffs. It's a premium beams, you see. No, I mean, honestly, we could kind of The They look nice, don't they? The braided cables. They look kind of cool. Same cluster cable. There we go. Uh, so that's going on as well. Uh what else do we have? What else do we have? Uh conveyor. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. This factory is working as intended. I promise. See this is why dimensional depots are so good. You just never run out of space. Truly. Um conveyor belt speeds. I believe I believe I actually do not have this in my notes, but I am certain that, it's video. Um we have a lot of options for video chat, don't we? Hang on, let me catch up to, chat for a sec. Those painted peeps are real steely, are they though? Can't you see it? They're giga steely. Uh, of course, white tiger for you. For you. Thank you, Steph. I'm practicing. Uh, we have a lot of settings in our game for all all kinds of players, all for you guys' sake. You optimize the way you want in most cases. In most cases, except for the one where it's broken. Texture quality. I mean, this has to be ultra. You could go medium. You could go low, but no, we know this. This has to be this has to be, the creme de la creme. Ultra shadows. Oh, ultra. Uh, ultra every day of the week. You could never play with high or medium. Never. Post-processing. Oh, ultra. Oh, please. Please no. But at least it is changeable. Uh this one however not to be mistaken for conveyor visual quality. This is also alterable conveyor belt item frequency. There is supposed to be options for 30 and 60 here to help, you know, to help processing power, to help save processing power from seeing all that zoom by on a belt. Uh, it's frozen. This is broken. So, you are stuck with unlimited. So, if you are playing on a weaker machine, please be careful cuz this this might trip you up. Uh, which also again is a little silly. I'm not sure what the cost of this is exactly either, but it's also on the radar and something we want to fix for optimization reasons. I'm going to take a slight break from bug fixes chat and I'm going to bring OBS right back up so I can see my pretty face again. and you guys will, to remind ourselves, me and you guys of the one thing I should have mentioned in state of dev that I forgot to mention cuz I am new at this job and that is that experimental is open right now for Satisfactory as well. Uh it is not 1.2 two. It is not even close. In fact, it is a technical experimental cuz we are testing a couple of small things and one very big thing. And the big thing I think is the only thing we've actually been outspoken about properly is we are refactoring our method of spline collisions. What's a spline you ask? Well, in computer terms, when you work with either rectangles or well well with rectangles, let's actually go back to the game and, use a belt to visualize here. Logistics. We have a, let's do let's do Mach 2. You have a belt. You put the belt. Oh, wait. Uh, where we go? You have a belt and if you set the belt straight, it's kind of a rectangle, right? I mean, yeah, there are some kinks here and there, but also splines work well into, feet or stands, I guess, whatever, of conveyor belts. Uh, but for all intents and purposes, this is a nice rectangle. Splines are great for also curving said rectangles. So if you have a rectangle that is supposed to be curvable, reshapable like this, that's also where splines are giga useful because visualize the rectangle chat and visualize points along these rectangles. As you bend the rectangle, that's where the points move along the rectangle. Um, which is great for shaping stuff like this. And when you do this, when you do this, when we do this in our game right now, we've also made sure that the hitbox offset objects in this case conveyor belts, but I believe this also is true for pipelines and hyper tubes, kind of rectangles. I know they're like tubes or like, cylinders actually, but you get the point. You get the point. Um, when this has happened with belts, tubes, and pipelines in our game, we have also made sure to bend the hitbox of said objects because of course if the belt is bent like this, you don't want a hitbox to be like, say a belt stretches out here, you don't want a hitbox to go straight here. The hitbox should follow along follow along the curve, right? So, so you collide with the belt no matter how it's shaped as long as you are in contact with it. Uh, computing hitboxes with splines like this is fine. Honestly, it is. But as you can see in this game, it is very possible to, and this is not even a lot by, you know, you guys' standards. This is like a kind of a little baby's collection of conveyor belts. Do I even have pipes here somewhere? I believe pipes are down there by the oil factory somewhere. Um, when you have a lot of belts or pipes or tubes or all three of them twisting in and out, that is a lot of computational power to always remember where hitboxes are. And hit boxes are unnecessary. Like say you start moving far away from your factory, you don't need hit boxes on these belts right now because there is no way in hell you'll collide with them until in several seconds when you slowly mosy your way back like this. And see if I can make it. Oh yeah, I can make it. I have plenty of you left before we drop. So what we're doing in tech right now chat which will help immensely we have seen you know who you are we have seen drops in usage of RAM from 60 GB down to 30 in the most extreme cases because right because right now we are working with tech to disable hitboxes as you are far away from these spline collisions or spline collider spline, hit boxes that's the word. So what you don't see on screen happening in experimental is that a lot of objects, invisible objects just go away when you are not close to them anymore, which means a lot more room for your game, your entire PC in fact, to breathe. Uh again, in the most extreme cases, we have seen like 60 gigs of RAM being cut in use, which is amazing. Um, and the reason we want to send this out on exp right now, the reason we are sending it out on exp right now is because we are hitting consoles very soon. And this interaction, you know, a pioneer having to be close to any of these objects for the hit boxes to exist may or may not have some funky effects on multiplayer. Like we just basically want to make sure that if you're playing with other people that every single pioneer is triggering the respawning of these invisible hit boxes as any of them are approaching belts, pipes or tubes., so as to not you know make for some very funky scenarios where someone may face halfway through a bolt and the owner of said server then approaches and all of a sudden the belt solidifies and your pioneer pioneer friend snaps in half stuff like that unfortunate, so that's mainly what is going on on exp right now so if you want to try this out if honestly if you are someone who currently is testing the limits of your saves or your entire PC see or just is playing on a weaker machine. Uh do try out EXP, any and all feedback is welcome. There is a very good chance that if you have any semblance of a factory running already, you should see some pretty decent, if not significant improvements in performance. So, please chat. That one is for you at Michael. If you disable distant spine collisions, won't that result in more beans getting st I can't answer that question. Uh cuz I don't know that sounds that actually sounds like a recipe for disaster. That is very true. In fact, it would be hilarious. You guys are monsters. Why would you cut your friends in half? That's why you don't have any friends. You do have friends. I'm sure you have friends. I'm sure you have friends. I would cut Jason in half. in game if if if if I could magician cutting people in half using conveyorables would be new. Ah, please do tell how to split singing. Uh this is why I get a huge frame drop when I approach my sorting room. That may be it. It may also be that's a very nice leadin for our next showcase which is, signs signs chat, something that, okay so not to brag not to brag I mean it's not even for me to brag because this is not my PC this is coffee stain's PC so I couldn't even brag, but the machine I'm playing on is actually kind of a monster so apparently we have a bug in the game where if you have a lot of signs going. Uh, can I please Oh, if we have a lot of signs going and you, There we go. If you just mouse over close to them, hover, look at them, you experience insane drops in frame rate. Uh, I'm not going to take my time to build a, cage, but like so like you have signs going and you mouse over and you look at them, you might experience fame drops, which is an issue of itself. Another ultimately harmless in most cases unless you like work with very very very narrow spaces as you design factories. Uh, slightly harmless feature or bug I should say, which may be a feature. Why the hell not?, is, what do we call this? Signs hut is, if you put signs down chat like so nice signs they're here and you just save whenever afterwards and you boot the game up whenever afterwards. Hop back in. That's why my rails are dogs to build. Maybe it No one uses a lot of signs except for me. I'm all about signs. Can anyone spot the difference? Tell me, chat, what has happened in my beautiful save file? Ha. What has happened? Big supports. Correct. Let's put a sign next to this one for reference. You see how the supports for the signs have u mysteriously grown I guess twice in size which is you know okay sure that's a feature. Could keep that. Uh this game is bug free by the way. These are all features. These are all planned. I promise. Um, it's visual more than anything, but again, like if you work with very tight spaces and you have a visually a space working just perfectly for, you know, supports being this thin, it might be, yeah, we get it may be annoying for your signs to randomly, you know, see leg day. God, I hate leg day like they all do. Uh, it might be annoying for them to grow like this in places. So, we're also looking at that, but it should only be visual. And I don't think like even if it is like actually somehow maybe it is affecting collision. I'm not sure. It's too n I think I think the hitbox is the same. It would be weird because like the hitbox mutating would be like actually computationally bad. No, it's fine. Okay, cool. Uh, so that's on the radar as well. Heed. Heed. Heed. Heed. Oh god, this mouse is garbage. Where do we go from here? It took me all the space. Um, oh yeah, there was one thing I was wondering. I don't think chat, it's it's time for you and I to experiment. You may be able to teach me about a bug shooting at it. Oh. Ah, that would have been a good challenge. I will do it yourself. Uh, haven't you scaled down the science support girthy 1.0? I don't actually know. I back then I was I was kind of slow on the uptick of the nitty-gritty of this game. So, I will be fully transparent and say that I was not that nitty-gritty enough to remember details about signs, especially about stuff including signs that I just myself never used in my own saves. So, maybe you would be more informed than me in that one. Throw at the science reports. Uh, how many times can we pump these up? Only the one, unfortunately. Only the one. They grow when we go to sleep. They do. They do. Uh, and no, they don't repeat. I just said each save load. Uh, chat, there is something. I'm going to try to follow along better as I display this one cuz it's going to be a dynamic interaction between you and I, friends. You have a conveyor lift floor hole. And I'll put this right here. And we are going to put a conveyor lift mark one. You see output up here chat? This is output, right? A conveyor belt is going to come out of you eventually. And we drop down too far. There we go. And the second half from the bottom hole then naturally becomes input. Right? Like so you have input input graphics. Now when I attempt to build a Mark 2 in place here, why do the arrows show output? That's not intended. Exactly. Change the mark of the lift and you have output displayed. The problem I have with this one is that I think it's only visual. I would love for anyone either coffee stainer in chat if any of you are spying on me or you guys the ones who actually know how to play the game, to confirm it's only visual right it's not it's actually reverse direction because if I put this down now with the output arrows displayed and I start building belts out of it, production no wait what logistics it goes back to input right here like the mark one belt a bit earlier. So, I'm curious as to what's actually going on here. What happens to the top part? Well, this should still be output then, right? This should still be output. Pretty sure, foundations. Uh just get the one here. Uh oh, I do have shortcuts actually. Hang on. Yeah, this is still output right here. So, it does seem to be fine even if you change mark with mark five and six. Okay. Yeah, cuz Guru is also I can I can confirm to you that Guru is in the camp of, actual flow changing. So, and Guru is QA. I'm just CM. So, it is very good for QA to have the correct issue on the radar then. So rest assured that it is definitely being talked about and looked upon, but maybe I am just terrible at reproducing it. Um, for all intents, by the way, chat, I would absolutely run stuff more properly through QA before coming to you guys, but again, it's been kind of a week since I returned. So, I just really and I really didn't want to like wait with streaming any longer until like we were properly synced up. So any stumbles along the way we'll just live with. What is a life without its road bumps? Am I right? 1.2 teaser. Pioneer in the hub. Rainy window outside. Lowfi beats to relax and optimize to. Well, we did want rain in for 1.1. That is no secret. And, it is also no secret that 1.2 time wise is after 1.1. And, time is a very valuable resource that people are able to work with in mysterious ways. Uh so that's always handy dandy. There we go. Um that and there was one final bug I was ready to show you and I think this one will be appreciated cuz I noticed I noticed this was the one bug that I noticed when playing the game for fun and not as part of like I not I haven't actually played the game for video production in a while, but I did play I do play the game for work purposes. Uh but this one I found during, during, is it logistics? Yeah, it is logistics during actual fun gameplay. Chat, stackable conveyor poles should absolutely be rotatable beyond 45° or rather within 45° on a foundation. You absolutely should be able to if if you mean if you just This should work, right? If we mouse over it here. Yeah, there we go. Look at that. This should be the intended behavior no matter the surface you build up. It worked before 1.0. Oh, so I've had ample time to find this. You weren't going mad. No, these are absolutely, supposed to be rotatable in, small increments. And this is u a very funky brain dance. A very funky brain dance, but ultimately also aiming to be fixed. Um and that is it. I should have prefaced this entire show, by the way, the entire bug talks show with, one of my aims moving forward with the dev stream is again to, we've taken feedback to heart. I have taken feedback to heart that, it would be nice for the dev streams about satisfactory to, well talk about satisfactory. So that's what I hopefully am intending to do. Uh I'm not going to make [ __ ] up. If we don't have stuff to talk about, I will still be I mean frank about that. But there is definitely always something going on in this office. Almost always something going on in the office that shouldn't be sharable. So sessions like these when we just physically boot the game up and kind of give you insight as to exactly what the devs I mean concretely there is someone sitting in the programming room right now doing exactly what I am doing right now flipping this but also who has the power to, check in the co check the code out and fix this. So to just give you insights as to what we are doing and fix it. So I'm hoping to bring more stuff like this to the table moving forwards on top of of course highlights. Highlights I want to be a weekly thing again. Uh but they do take time to prep. So u they may occasionally go missing but it is what it is. or this might for that matter if we actually run dry or if I for one week really want to display something highlights wise that can't go missed which again takes me back to next week Tuesday we are absolutely doing highlights cuz there are some insane things that we have to catch up on on that front as well, live stream from this room please I mean we're here right here is great Mik loving it hell yeah excellent glad you like it we've done the Frank joke four, 45 wait as in 45 rotational like just rotating immediately 45 was that possible it is now I mean even here you could with a fair few scrolls on your wheel rotate 45 so it's up to you but having the options to go with smaller increments is always better for micromanaging, why do pipes autoconnect if there is one pipeline support do they maybe that's something I should bring up for next Uh, not interested in highlights. Well, I am. So, that makes one of us. And I am the one with the power. Um, will there be Yo, Jason. Jason. I maybe he's AFK. Shame. I hear something. Oh, okay. Uh, will there be a time we can trust liquids to behave as intended in pipes? Stay tuned. Stay tuned, chat, cuz, we we've got stuff to talk about. Uh, nothing really happening in the community anyway. Really? Sheesh. God. Well, I'm glad one of us is. I'm actually not glad you're feeling that cuz- I feel like I have a cavalc to catch up on. So, yeah. There we go. Uh, now that's toxic. That is toxic. Uh, so that's a first insight and honestly I would love to show more but like- I can't stress enough how weird it is. Like game development is a very is a very, let me let me hop back to talking. There we go. Game development is a very hard thing to keep track of even as you are smack dab in the middle of it and following following it on a day-to-day basis. Catching up catching up to like five different disciplines who are all also kind of like they think they are aware of each other but they're actually not each. It's a nightmare. It's a nightmare. Uh, but this is definitely something I would love to do way more often. And this is what I managed to scramble together for today. And I am very happy that I could provide you with some satisfactory content. Oh my god. Game. I'm I'm going to kill this game right now. Stop doing that. Stop doing that. There we go. Bam. Um, that's all I'm going to give. Don't hide my face from me. See, this game is toxic. This game is bad for your health chat. As is this [ __ ] Not that I care. Perfect game. Oh, there we go.
