procedurally generated satisfactory map, no it's not gonna happen, the game was initially supposed to be procedurally generated yeah way way way way way back in the day, that's how it it first started out and then everyone was like yeah no no we don't want to do that and I think we still don't want to do that we have a video on our YouTube where I sat down with the Stefan our CEO and we walked through like a bunch of early builds for the game and there were also another interesting aspect of the procedural generation thing that I didn't think about was they also had because I wasn't working on the game at this point was that all the nodes would be you'll be able to like mine them anywhere on the map so like when you look down on the ground there would be like different you know Purity off all the materials so like you basically see like oh there's copper here oh wow four percent and and like depending on on like how pure wherever you were looking you got more when you were mining it you could replace down magnet miners everywhere, let me see if I can find that video if you're interested in that and then obviously the nodes would have the most security but you could also mine different things on the same node interesting yeah you just get different like if you just need some Stone you could just like maybe like just run into the five meters and just like Hammer the ground yeah and dig a little from there so like just a little bit of something so like for instance if you were if you were building something you're like oh I just need one iron Rod or whatever you could just like get it from the ground but it takes a little bit more I mean depending on like running back it would obviously take longer to yeah I feel like I wouldn't want that in our game I've definitely seen it like in other games and the thing is when if you have that feature you need to build other features around it to make that work right but like with with our game and the feature set that we have I think I think what we have now works pretty well I still think that like randomized nodes could be sick it could be cool like just the placement of them yeah yeah yeah like maybe as like an alternate game mode thing but like I think I think that's something that could be really good yep otherwise I really like the fact that we've, handcrafted everything personally sorry I'm trying to find that video now it's it's, this is update I can't remember update six maybe whoops wrong button oh whoops I found it okay here it is the video if you're interested in the first year of development satisfactory
