believable our world designer also uses adobe photoshop one of the main reasons for it is, for the creation and adjustment of our pigment map the pigment map is essentially just like a map of the world that has like colors painted over the top and then the textures in the world at those locations can pull from that pigment map and mix the colors on the pigment map with the colors in the world and so basically what this means is we can use the same material for example a certain kind of grass in one area or in two different areas but source colors from the pigment map in different ways so that they have different tints to them and so they appear a little bit different so we don't have to create multiple textures for every different area we can just mix the colors from the pigment map into the terrain for example I hope that makes sense it's a little bit hard to communicate but we'll see okay so the next discipline that we're going to talk about is
