Sports who are you guys and what do you do at coffee stain normally, I'm Anna and I'm a lead 3D artist here at coffee stain, I make pretty things for satisfactory and I help other artists making pretty things for satisfactory and I'm EMT I'm the current game director here at satisfactory, most of my day is writing documents going to meetings and planning for the future whatever is to call so what game did you work on, so we worked on punko which is a combination of like a kind of card-based Rog like game sort of like a slay of the Spire with more Tycoon management elements like AO tycoon or Roller Coaster Tycoon and how did you interpret the theme of the game Jam, so the team was the game cheats and we thought of Love different ways we approach this like maybe there's some sort of hacks or something in the game or we have that some sort of cheat system but, what we actually landed on was this idea of casinos are sort of there to cheat, the consumers who are going to them casinos will cheat you H please don't lose all of your money in Vegas, but we liked that concept and we were also like the entire team was kind of on board with this sort of like the strategy of, deck build a Rog like sort of game so we just put those two together so in ponco you will actually be managing your own, casino and every single round you get a set cards and you can make decisions based off of that and yeah the idea is to kind of keep your reputation sort of like keep, your casino with like a high reputation make sure you don't raise your suspicion level by cheating too much so that you might lose consumers or you might get like police rides or something, and make as much money as you can just like good old capitalism so what did you do for the game specifically so I was responsible for the art side of things and mainly focusing on environments colors the vibe of the game what you see on the screen some UI elements too, it was really fun, to create an art style within a few days, that is also simple enough, but, I don't really remember what you did wow did you do anything I worked on I mean I worked on a lot of the early Concept in design myself and Burke worked on a lot of like the, the high level systems like the ideas we were going to follow up with and then Burke was the one who actually did like the more in-depth system design I then swapped across doing some blue printing working with AI and, some of the music oh some of the music all of the music that game the two tracks that are in this game and some of the other sound design of course but then also a shout out to Villa who did the character models and was doing a lot of the, VFX and tobas who was the absolute backbone of the project keep with basically creating like the programming core of all of the gameplay and doing some of the UI interaction as well did the game feel manageable with within a week or was it stressful at any point so that's the whole kind of gist of game Jam to assess how much time you really have and how your grand idea fits into that tiny bracket of time, but, I'm guessing it's a it's a good question actually to our team because we did win the most, what was it ambitious the most ambitious project cuz, no one is really making Tycoon games that often during game Champs it's a very, yeah it's it's it's a lot of tiny moving Parts yeah so but I think I think we managed to narrow down the game to what's what's the core of it and what's fun to play yeah yeah we found a good Coreal Loop we managed expectations with like what to do with art I think we focused on just like one level opposed to a Hades or SL fire which goes across like multiple in their progression we finished in good time I think yeah we had polishing options of course but still we made the deadline and I mean as usual, you don't really get a lot of time for balancing it so for those who are going to try the game it's not balanced at all just saying, but it's still fun we would appreciate feedback if people want to play and just drop comments on it or wherever it's going to be exactly and who knows maybe we spend some more time fine-tuning things making it better show it us on Twitter or blue sky or wherever we can be found Ste wish list soon who knows let's put that part if you could have one super power what would it be to fix all the bugs and satisfactory Jesus Christ how many hours do you have in Destiny 2 why you got to call me out like that man, so there's a new dungeon released two weeks ago and I just saw today that I've spent a day and 10 hours already in that dungeon in the last like 10ish days yeah what a nerd yeah would you be in pain if we add water physics to S Factory I won't be Ben will be poor gu let's do it that's a yes for me our colleag suffering hell yeah what is the one thing that you are better at than any anyone else in the office H I think I'm the best at resting
