thank you people beep hello good morning everyone hope you slept well hope you had a good night's sleep, let's see here who's here who do we got who's not here is Jace Chase is not here today it's just me she's got a late, we should call it like late notice so couldn't join yeah Jesus lag Jace's audio is lagging crazy, so yeah hi everybody, I saw a little car I saw this conversation happening in chat so I'm just going to clarify this right now, Europe hasn't gone into daylight savings yet so if where you live daylight savings may have hit so the stream might be a bit later than usual but that's because in Europe we still haven't switched so we're still on regular old Daylight Saving not dayline savings we are no wait we are on daylight savings which one is summertime is coming at the end of March so, it'll be like this for another week and then on March 26th that's when Europe switches so if you're confused as to why you're suddenly able to join the stream and not just the end of it this is why so enjoy these two weeks that's how it is We're not gonna move the schedule around just because of that we're gonna stick to the European Time Zone essentially, so and we're not on summertime yet but soon hopefully there's currently a blizzard in Sweden, so March like spring doesn't feel like it's coming anytime soon but it is what it is so yeah anyways all right welcome welcome everybody to to weekly weekly devstream oh boy we got we got we got a week we got a week ahead of us I have a week ahead of me, that's for sure I'm gonna switch to the next scene actually so hope everyone is doing well is anybody yes no, daylight saving time is summertime isn't it yeah isn't it the other way around like you save time because you weren't wasting candles or something like that I don't know anyways, winter time or summer time yes so yes updated is confirmed finally we finally confirmed my update I know up until now we haven't confirmed it but now we have confirmed it oh wait oh did we confirm it before I don't know but if you if you didn't know and if you're this is this is how you're finding it I guess, we're gonna start rolling out up that eight information essentially, finally we've been we've been keeping it in sounds like I'm about to fart we'll be keeping it in for a long time now, we haven't had too much information to share with you all but we finally are at a point where we feel like we can start we can start talking about stuff, so last week video video put out a Jace, talking about the fact that this week is going to be the first week of our teachers season essentially, now granted this all depends if I can finish the video for this week, I've had a lot of technical difficulties I've been working on this video now for two weeks almost and I have gone gotten nowhere, so I'm hoping these last three days are gonna be amazing, or else I guess I'm fired I don't know- I don't know how it works but, no way it can't be confident yeah exactly and it's not even my fault it's the developers ruining everything but, we are planning to release a video this week and we have plans to release videos coming the coming weeks so I'm gonna explain really quickly just how this teaser season is gonna work because I feel like we've switched around a bit from from from season to season if you will, I think even things like this format calling it a teaser season is like not really established or it is established for us but maybe not so much for you but essentially so for up to eight We're not gonna do what we did with updates seven where we just say like this is everything that's coming in the update even though we were sneaky in update seven and we're like this is everything that's coming up at seven and then we still kept blueprints to be a secret, for update 8 We're Gonna Roll things out at a like on its own pace We're not gonna like just reveal everything at the same time, I'm gonna be honest part of that is because like there's not too much in this update this is another small update granted we said that these updates are small and then people get a lot of out of them anyways but to to set the stage here update 8 and that's why we've done it in the past where we explain you know this is what's in the update because we're always scared that like if we just start teasing stuff and then at the end people like that's it, but essentially updated it's going to be roughly the same size as update seven and update six I guess there's not going to be too much like new content in the update if you please remember that we're currently developing in like two branches actually kind of three branches if you think about it but we have the people that are working on the main like 1.0 content stuff that's going to go into the final release of the game this is stuff that we won't show off until the like actual release of the game the final or final release of the game like a bunch of people are working on that the other bunch of people are working on update related content and that is like improving the general game there's like features here and there there's there's bug issue fixes there's optimization there's, Network fixes there's, you know all the kind of content that we kind of want to roll out on a continuous, in a continuous manner if you will that stuff is is being developed, on like two tracks I actually have a third track if you're gonna be technical about it and that's the world, Branch because we had to split how we developed the game so like our world team are working on their own thing, and we don't know when God knows when that happens but, some somewhere online we're going to merge everything eventually you know, so so updated is is that updates stuff so so so yes so update is similar to update six and seven in the sense that it's a smaller update there's no new major like content content but there are a lot of Juicy stuff and there's a lot of gameplay tweaks and I think there's a lot of stuff that you guys will find exciting, but you know this is the teas to the t's so I'm not gonna tell you what that is yet you're gonna have to find out on on yourself but so but essentially the way it's going to work is is similar to update six I think where are we or five maybe I can't remember where we showcase like things, every now and again like every week we hope to release a video if we can keep that schedule, and every week there's going to be hopefully something new to talk about that's actually because of the day do have even though update isn't a big update I think there's still a lot of Juicy things in it and I think there's a lot of stuff that people will find very exciting and, well at least some people find exciting because- I think I think you know we have different types of players for satisfactory and I think some people are more excited for certain aspects than others like there's people that weren't super excited about blueprints then those people that were super excited for blueprints they were like this is the best update ever you know so it's always like catered like these updates kind of cater towards different, player archetypes if you will so, you know it is what it is but, super exciting so but yeah tldr we won't reveal everything from the start we will reveal things as things are developed this also means that you guys are going to be seeing a lot more like, maybe not so much different actually than it usually is but you know whenever we do these teaser season thingies, you know stuff isn't finished when we talk about it and it's not even finished when it's like released on experimental sometimes so you know everything is a bit work in progress we're sort of figuring out some things as well and sometimes it's not 100 set of stone what's gonna be in the update because like we're trying to make do with the time that we have, yeah is is subject to change essentially and, but we're not too like worried about that stuff yet at the moment but so yeah hopefully this week we're gonna roll out a video with, some some exciting new things to see, what else yeah one other thing I want to talk about too is dedicated servers, because I just wanna this is the one thing I want to set the stage with as well, please remember that dedicated servers are also developed on their own sort of so they're not like technically part of updates when we release updates, we are a little bit like ashamed that dedicated server support or like working in dedicated servers hasn't been, like our biggest priority, for a while and I think we're gonna start delving more into that soon but like I don't know if there's going to be any major dedicated server improvements in update 8 it might come afterwards or it might coming up there I actually don't know at this moment I just want to mention that a dedicated server support is like its own you know track because that is a technically an experimental feature for us, so I just want to say that as well because I know people are going to ask about it if if I don't mention it already so yeah boy by the way this stream might be a bit weird, because well Jay's isn't here that's one thing, but also, my dog is constipated so I might need to run in the middle of the stream and be like be right back, when hits the fan, hopefully not literally but, yeah she's sleeping right now so so we're hoping no no shut up not literally, hopefully not literally yeah no she's sleeping right now I should be fine but, yeah we'll see what happens we'll see we'll take her from there, let's see here I got a little couple of other, state of Dev news to share as well and one of them is that the satisfactory anniversary the satisfactory release anniversary is coming up this week it's going to be on Sunday I think, yeah Sunday March 19th is our four year anniversary of releasing satisfactory in Early Access crazy that a game can be in early access or which I know it actually isn't crazy there's a lot of games that are relaxed longer than that but yeah this game has been released for a while and we were working on it for so long like even before then I think we started development of satisfactory in 2016. and it's been out for four years and we're like what the so, yeah this Sunday Sunday, buy tickets for the whole seat but you won't need the edge, so to sort of celebrate that we're going to be hosting a little like kind of anniversary celebration kind of event on our Discord so if you didn't know we have a Discord I think we have a command for it yeah look at that, I was about to like plop it in the Discord but I don't realize you can't read it unless you're on the Discord but so Jason mentioned this in the video last week we have an event that's coming up in our Discord, I don't know when it will go live but I think it will go live this week actually so I won't go live on the Sunday we'll actually be running towards Sunday I believe, and it's gonna be a couple of fun things it's going to be like, it's going to be a trivia bot that you can you can test your knowledge on the game and there's going to be like a creative kind of event thing where you can make creative things and, and there's going to be a bunch of giveaways so there's going to be keys to satisfactory which you can either give to your friends or yourself if you don't have the game there's also going to be vouchers for lizardoga.com which is our one of our well currently our only, licensed merch partner Dave at Aurora replicas, and, yeah fun prices will be will be had and I think the the drawing for that will happen like at the end of the week or something like that but the event will start sometime this week so so join the Discord now to make sure that you don't miss this and, stay tuned for announcements I guess on the Discord essentially because- I'm not super involved in that so I actually don't know all the details but, it's it it looks like a lot of fun they've been prepping this for a while now so super excited for that, I think my best yes cool we're all excited usually 4 pm video release if it happens yeah so usually Well yeah if it happens no pressure, so yeah usually this is the point where I turn to James to be like oh what do you think about that Jason and then he's not listening he's like yep he's just staring blankly into space, -huh yep yep sorry were you saying something no no, you should bring Brad robojays I'm so sad that I've apparently, I think I still have all the footage but it was a pain in the ass to set it up and all my settings are lost when we moved the the all the the layout for this dream, which pissed me off it is what it is well we'll see if I have the energy set up again in the future but oh so pissed watching the entrance exam oh God yeah if you want to join the the Discord you have to you have to, you have to pass the exam and there's surprising amount of people that don't pass it it's not hard it's, it's just yeah you need to be able to read it's like and sometimes but you know it's not for everyone anyways so without further Ado I think we're going to jump into Community highlights actually, because I don't have anything really interesting to say apart from that you know that Caesar teasing is going to start I mean I can tease was what's the teaser video is going to be about oh it's gonna be a teaser video that so I'm gonna tell you so that's all you need to know so it is a little bit of like a countdown to a countdown essentially, so yeah we're gonna post about this live stream in the Discord I did it's in the devstream channel we always post when the stream go live on on a Discord don't you dare happens up and then or not release this is this is exactly what I'm doing I'm hyping it all up so that when I failed to finish the video y'all be like now is the week another week wait another week so yeah it is what it is but it that that really is what it is like if you know if I can't finish the video then I can make like I can't release the video guys is how it is it's been fine in the past but you know I always get these like we always run like whenever I start making content in like video content in the editor we always run into issues but, should be fine trademark oh yeah I forgot to mention that actually the kickstarter which is a command on on the stream by the way, the kickstarter runs until next week I believe actually let me go to that whoops I was too slow, if you didn't know the one of our merch partners, lizardogo.com they're running our Kickstarter for some of the new plushies and that event oh yeah it ends next week so that will run for another week and I think the kickstarter ends like an hour or so after the stream, so I will remind you all there's a bunch of new stuff there's like two sizes of beans there's the fluffy tailed hog it's one of the new, plushies this is a this magical pen that Jace showed me and I'm like how could that's possible, it's I can't explain it just check the video and there's also a new replica which is the build gun which I think is the coolest replica by far, I think the Xeno zapper sorry yeah the zapper is pretty cool too but the build gun is just like more iconic I think, so that's really cool so check out the kickstarter for sure that's all I want to say and that Kickstarter by the way has been met so like I'm not I'm not real Jesus Christ it was met a while ago, and, like I think the the goal was like 200 okay it's in Swedish for me so like 270k Swedish and now it's at like 946 okay so like the the the the the the goal has been met okay, but I just want to let you guys know that that Kickstarter is still running if you want to take part in like getting you know any of the the Rewards or anything like that, then it's still possible foreign thank you
