dude Jesus that that thumbnail is incredible which one was that the Unreal Engine five one good one snow, here it comes and so yeah this video got a lot of information about, the update on Legend 5 update, we I think one I don't know we didn't we didn't change for Lumen but Lumen will be not officially supported but the option will be there and you can just try it if you want but we're not officially supporting it if it doesn't look good we're not aiming to make it look good necessarily it's also going to tank your performance we're not we're not shooting for supporting that in a good way necessarily okay, but as for nanite I think that's probably one of the reasons as well right because we we do take advantage of it in some cases but we can't do it for everything, so that's that's one one other potential win but there are other reasons too there's there's this it's hard to like say pinpoint at one specific thing I think we were when we saw like the ue5 announcement and stuff like that when you showcases and like we got access to try it out and stuff like that we were definitely wowed by it and was like this could be cool for satisfactory, but it's it wasn't at the time it wasn't like this is definitely worth updating the game to this version because we can get this or this or this not really but it's it's like small things as I kind of trickle down, the fact I think the biggest thing if anything is like the fact that we are future proofing the game for developing on it for now and then we just end up dropping the game anyways the week once we're done with it so it wouldn't have been worth it anyways, anyways yeah Lumen doesn't use RTX luminous like a CPU based, collection of cpu-based Ray tracing techniques as far as I know it's yeah it's true Lumen is really good for screenshots like when you're taking screenshots of your factory you like the frame rate doesn't matter then so like switching to loom and just for for taking screenshots is pretty dope, maybe like even in the future we could have it so like something I wish I really hope we we get around to updating is the the in-game, screenshot tool, it would be nice to have like a setting so you could like flip Lumen on and off in the in the screenshot setting up in in photo mode that's what it's looking for yeah that'll be pretty good actually yeah, although I do know that there's some like thing where when you switch Lumen on it like hijacks a bunch of vram and then when you switch it off it's still past that memory so like you could potentially run out of vram even though you're not using Lumen at the time you know so you need to like reset the game to get back to a good State, so we'll see if that's possible or not in the future
