when did you start working on the story was it Midway through development and if so how was it working on the existing game pic, it was partway through development, I joined, when they were about a year into it like they had just entered production and like exited pre-production meaning that they had they started really building things instead of just testing things, which was it was difficult to to it's very difficult to apply like narrative retroactively to something and then really make it fit without basically putting like the round block the round peg in the square hole and is essentially what it turned out to become, so, but it it did help like sort of solve a bunch of issues with like okay how do we want our for our visual language both with the buildings UI and the color palette how we did want it to do our like in-game branding and just kind of the the the vibe that the game had, it like when I kind of came in and and started like building on that that kind of snowballed into all other departments as well and that's what is the point of this stuff that is the point of building a narrative right is is creating that context and helping everything fit together, and yeah it's but yeah it was it was really tough sort of applying logic retroactively and consistency retroactively so some things might not be entirely consistent but you know we we did what we could, and I still think it turned out pretty good I mean, yeah I mean hey at least I didn't sabotage our chances for that one that that is at least like I don't know if it helped but it certainly didn't sabotage oh
