what's up nerds welcome to the we welcome everybody to the weekly Dev stream hope you like that intro we're back baby back to, fix Chistmas it's been a while since, we had that intro I forgot we had it and I was pleased to find it when I saw it anyways redo okay well we do the entire intro then all right fine whatever it's no big deal hey everybody Welcome to the weekly Dev stream where we hang out and talk about everything we can talk about about satisfactory at the moment which is, quite a lot cuz, fixmas is upon us finally we didn't think it was going to H well we kind of knew it was going to happen but we were worried for a second okay that we didn't have time to wrap up fixmas but it's here it and, hopefully it works, I think most people know about fix at this point, and I'm just going to like again clarify that there's no new stuff in fixmas this year, I know you guys, really wanted new content there but we didn't have time for that, there's some glitches yeah there the game the game has you know the game is what it is it's early access whatever don't worry about it don't read too much into it, but yeah the new calendar is in and it's pretty dope, it's pretty cool we, we managed to at least update that so that's pretty cool

6 how about that trailer huh I haven't seen it yet don't spoil it don't spoil it don't leak the trailer fam I haven't seen it yet I want to wait until the actual actual release date whatever it was I can't remember everyone died at the end spoilers in a trailer already it's like can't even play the game it's already done, anyways I'm going where's here it is right agenda let's go St Dev what have to talk about I was near last week because I was sick I'm still a bit sick actually so we might, I might cut the stream short if if my throat gets all worked up, I'm already feeling it a little bit and talking for like two hours straight usually can get you, so we'll see how it goes but I was I was down with the sickness last week and it was no fun I get the I get the man Co thing where like I am I am passed out from nothing it's like oh got a little fever there I'm like oh I'm going to die oh I can't take it so, that's that's that was my week good times and to make matters worth I was playing satisfactory as well so yuck anyways let's talk state of Dev so, most important thing to mention is that of course fixmas is going on right now, fixmas is our seasonal event that we have every year, we actually had it since launch so every year so far and, yeah there's no new content in fixmas apart from the calendar that's in the domac whatever you want to call it, that's in the hub area so if you go to the hub you can get it, and I should probably put up an FAQ because we usually get a bunch of questions for people that have never experienced fixmas before that are really curious about, and, it is it is mentioned in the calendar I believe or like somewhere near the calendar, but fixmas is sort of like an event that goes on throughout the month you won't be able to unlock everything from the get-go, there are certain key dates where you can get like progress items so to speak in the calendar that you can use to keep progressing in the M, not everything is is unlocked from the get-go and, just be patient okay if you want to experience it the way the way we designed it you can be patient or you know there might be some way to get around it but that's called cheating and that's that's frowned upon in most most most cultures but most of you are Gamers so you wouldn't cheat anyways am I right okay cool glad we got that sort that, fixmas is going to be running from December from 1 of December up until January I believe 18th that's the date that we've had in the past, I don't think we've changed that so so fixmas will end next year January mid January is so for those people those of you that like might not have time to play you know up until like the late December like until the holidays or whatever, don't worry cuz you'll still have plenty of time to play fixas, even after you know December's over there's even after New Year's there's still going to be plenty of time to to to make your billions of, of gifts automated and, get your tree all decorated and Sh like that so so don't worry about that stuff there's time there's time and if you don't want to play fixmas if you don't enjoy the holidays if you if you I'm saying that as if like all you scrooges out there I also do this I also disable fixmas actually, in my safe but there's a way to disable fixmas is what I'm trying to get out of here and the way to do that is you go to the main menu and in the main menu under game play there's something called seasonal events you can opt out of that one and that will turn off, fixas I believe if, if you have had like gifts falling from the sky I believe those will get removed if you disable seasonal events so even if you play a little bit on your safe file and you have like gifts falling from the sky, and you disable it those will be removed as well I think if I remember correctly, but I might be wrong on that but, yeah you can cancel fix Ms exactly you keep the get okay so maybe it was just, in my safe file where I forgot to save or something oh no I didn't okay that was probably it I probably didn't say in my safe out when I start seeing it, that's true

it it so so the Fallen gifts sort of reduce I believe, once you've collected a bunch of them and you start automating it, they start reducing the amount of gifts as far from the sky I believe, but yeah if you don't if you don't want to partake in it you can you can totally up out of it it's totally fine and fixas by the way when the event ends for fixas, your factory buildings will still persist in the world so like all your factories will still be there and and all the stuff that you decorated and whatever, will be there but you won't be able to utilize you won't be able to build new ones you you won't be able to like- I don't know if they keep producing I can't remember if they do that but I don't think they do and, yeah all the options to use like the the I think the Skins will still persist and stuff like that but, you won't be able to make new, factories with them essentially that's what I'm trying to get at, you can still Place blueprints with it though oh really oh that's not intentional did we have blueprints when we ran last year's fixmas I can't remember I think we did that's interesting all right good to know maybe we'll look into that I don't know who cares as in like for us I mean like do we care about that I don't know, anyway so that's that's fixas essentially in a nutshell

, and, yeah I think I think I think I covered base so, apart from from fixas what's going on right now is also we are working on releasing, a couple of, stuff on the experimental branch which is our updates to our online integration system, I believe I the goal was to release it this last week but I don't think we managed to finish everything out in time to get it out to you guys guys so I think the goal is to do that this week I'm going to talk a little bit briefly about that actually cuz, I did post a video last no not last week I was sick last week the week before that I posted a YouTube video where I explained that, there's there's a couple of things coming in experimental we already have the experimental Branch running right now with a couple of bug fixing fixes, but the main reason why we have experimental running again is because we have, a couple of lingering features for the online integration system that we would like to, get your sort of opinions on try it out, get some feedback on and, keep working on that a little bit tune it up so we can push it over to Early Access and, sort of finish that because the online integration system that we sort of reworked for for update 8, we didn't have time to fully finish that aspect and we didn't want to keep pushing update 8, partly because of fixas, we wanted to get everything done before then, but also like we needed to get updated finished at some point anyways, so so that's sort of the situation right now so, this week we hope to get some stuff in for the online integration, and I mentioned in the video two major things that are new that are coming in online integration one thing is that you're going to be able to opt out of crossplay so crossplay meaning using epic online services for you know utilizing connectivity and all that stuff, we've always used epic online service for the game as the default sort of online net driver what you want to call it, and that's sort of managing you know connecting to your friends and and whatnot and that's been the default system we've had since since the beginning, because if we were to have you know being able to opt out of that we need to have like a back system to handle like steam connectivity if you're on Steam, if you're on Epic you obviously you're using epic online services and that would sort of mean that we wouldn't be needing to maintain two separate systems and that that was something we felt like we didn't really want to do because it's like extra work, and that's something that's, coming in this update is the ability to be able to opt out of that essentially and people just to pick and choose sort of, and, the other thing that's coming with epic online services is the ability to sort of handle all account linking outside of the game so now instead of having it so that the game sort of facilitates the account linking and all that stuff that's handled outside of the game so now you're going to have the option like when you boot up the game it will ask you like hey do you want to link your epic account or not, you can choose to skip this completely or if you want to to do link your epic account with your Steam account, it will give you like a popup instead so it won't be the game that's handling that stuff you'll get like a web browser sort of thing instead and you can link your account and then if your account linking is successful the game will sort of you know handle both your accounts, at the same time and if at any point you feel like you don't want to have your epic account link to your Steam account anymore you can go to epic's website and un unlink your account there under like apps and and whatever it's called like apps and linked accounts or something like that and and disable them there and it's going to be totally fine and it's nice for us because we get to not have to deal with that anymore because you previously we've had to to, you know do that ourselves and handle all the unlinking and the linking in game and now it's going to be a completely separate system so, it's going to be nice for us as well, it's sound like a it's sound like a small fart when you're doing that trying to be quiet trying to be quiet and then I just he

, cool epic yeah online integration cool stuff that's sort of what we're working on right now and we hope to get that out soon as possible we're sort of working on the flow the the flow of of sort of how that works and how that will work, in the menu and stuff like that and to make it as clear as possible and, as soon as we feel comfortable with that it's clear and like you know you going to be able to take advantage of it and and whatnot then we'll push it on experimental and you can try it out and see if it works or not hopefully it should work but fingers crossed, cool yes so that's that's happening on the experimental Branch very soon, the next thing I want to talk about is when it comes to state of Dev is that we are closing in on the end of the year it's been a long year year I don't know why I said it like that it's been a long year, 2023 oh boy what a concept gez, and people are going to start going on holidays and stuff like that you know there's a lot of people working coffee that aren't native to Sweden that, go off on like extended hallay breaks during during Christmas and and whatnot, to go back to family and visit them and all that stuff and, that means that the we won't be at full force at the studio, in the next coming of weeks actually we'll people will start doing that, which means that we're sort of wrapping up this year pretty soon, and it also means that you guys won't see any more book fixing or anything like that going on, probably from the next like I think next week will be potentially the last week where we might do any last second bug fixing if we if we feel like do we need to, but we are sort of closing up we're sorry closing we're sort of wrapping up this year and and wrapping up work, for satisfactory, wrapping up update 8 essentially and, that's going to be happening very soon and one thing that also important to note is that there are only going to be two more streams this year, right here on this twitch Channel Bam, and after that I'm going to H holiday break, so better makeing count including this one by the way so this week and next week are going to be the last streams for this year and then I'm going on holiday break and then, we'll be back again in January at some point I don't fully know exactly when actually CU I haven't checked the schedule, but you know we'll post on Twitter and and Discord and all that stuff when when we come back so we'll we'll keep you posted but yeah better make a count you better better get all the questions in to make make a count baby, yeah holiday break is this job not holiday for you no no no no- I better get paid today today today I need I need my money this is the official sign for money I thought that no whatever, I ain't doing this for free, so yeah I think I think I think that's that's the gist of it that's sort of, what's happening right now at the studio, holidays are coming in Fast and, we're not going to be able to see each other for a couple of weeks now it's going to be get your, by the way get your your present buying gift buying in ASAP because I'm like I thought it was November last week or this week still so, time flies apparently holy s
