Hello. Me and many fans feel like we want some form of combat or tower defense element. Why are you guys strictly against this even though it's one of the most asked features? Um, is it though? Is it though? Cuz I'm going to take some pride here. Um, despite activity from me having dipped on our socials a fair bit. Um, I still lurk a lot and it's mentioned for sure. I don't think It's mentioned enough to warrant arguing against the devs for combat on the basis that combat is something they themselves opted out of way back way back in alpha. I think update one maybe. Um cuz combat was definitely more a focal part of Satisfactory. And fun fact, fun fact, the very very very very very first committed build, or it might might even be push in the entire repository of Satisfactory. The entire thing was made by G2, our tallest guy in the office earlier asked and that name is hinting very very strongly at what the game what the, devs thought would be a tower defense game. So it was in their minds way way way way back when 2017. Um but yeah and so they opted out and, they have their reasons. I guess we have our reasons. I can't speak for those u thoughts because I joined Gigalate and even since I joined I don't actually partake in development of the game. I only forward, I only forward you guys' you guys' wisdom to them, in terms of how I affect the game basically. And, yeah. No, I don't know. Combat is it really that asked for? I'll start I'll start remembering it more, I guess, if I see it around. But no. Uh, considering the variety of explosives and ammunition we have, it feels like it was considered to expand on the combat of the game. Is this right? Uh, maybe. I can't confirm if that was ever the intention cuz combat elements such as more like rebar ammo or kinds of nukes or knobs I should say were added post, combat being, dismissed for the game or like a lesser focus. I think they were there mainly for accessibility and just the fun of it like blasting, what do you call these funny little orange bees? Uh crab plants. I don't know. I work here. I promise. With the boom box is just way more fun style than anything else. Nuking is way more like just cathartic fun than, you know, a proper combat thingy. So, why not extend PvP? Next question. Uh, explosive rebar to the fart rock. Catharti. Uh, cuz farts are explosive. Get it? That's why I left.
