So, yes, kind of like, so when you if you have a controller connected to your PC since 1.1, by the way, and you boot up the game, if you go, you might have to go to the options menu and in I believe it's gameplay, it may be controls, but it's either gameplay or controls, I forget in the moment. Um there is a, controller scheme controller typeesque option that might default to keyboard mouse and you have to switch that to controller but that might also be defaulting to controller if you don't have a keyboard and mouse connected to your PC which I don't think is a very common case but if you can get past that initial hurdle of just like opening the, opening the game finding that in the menu and hopping the controller, then yes, you can select a new game, make a save file. You'll have to type in the save files name on a keyboard, but then you should be able to start a new game. Pick all your AGS, all your options, pick your biome on the controller. Yes.
