generators have power switch so do all structures in the game the standby switch only works for one, individual generator though so you can't like switch off a whole network which is more what people want I believe so like if you have like a like if you have like a power grid for for, say that you hooked up like your refiner or something and you want to be able to switch that off you can't really do that unless you disconnect, power poles and such or you can run around for every single generator and put it on standby but that's not it's it's much better if it's just one button, and I know that this is a use case because I've done this in my own map where like I had power running through my tower and then I had I used hyper loops to like move around and I wanted the hyperloops like if power dies I don't want my power loads to die because then I couldn't go up and down so I wanted them on a separate connection and in that case it's really nifty to just be able to turn it off and on again there's also use cases where like you can have like your thermal as a backup generator for stuff and but you don't want that running unless the power goes down and then it's nice if you can like switch it on and off easily
