Uh you Guru you mentioned you had played for several thousand hours casually before applying here for the QA job. Yeah. >> What did like did you play other factory games Factorio or anything before factory or what what kind of gripped you so hard >> before trains after trains? Trains. >> No- I think for me it was just trains. Uh >> just trains just in general. So when I saw the game for the first time, I was seeing my friend play, and he likes to play, Dyson Sphere, Factorio >>, and had never played any building game. I mean the closest I played was, City Skylines >> and and when I saw his say it was just floating foundations, floating belts >> and back then we didn't have pipes in the game. Uh this was before update 3 [clears throat] and then Yeah. like he wanted me to join his session so that I could I could help out with math >> right [music] >> in the game and then yeah the multiplayer experience was, with monkey wonky like okay I'm just going to start my my my save and yep >> and off you went >> yep >> suddenly trains and suddenly you're in Sweden [laughter] >> how how much of your initial playthrough was like enjoying the journey or were you like I got to get the trains like I just got to speedrun till I get >> Yeah I think a speed run. Uh I mean I wouldn't call it a speedrun. It [music] it still takes like 70 hours or something to reach tier five. Um but, >> yeah I mean the the thing is, when the game was in early access, it it was also getting a lot of updates consistently. Uh because when I started playing I reached old and then these guys dropped update three., then you know the whole fluid mechanics came and then, update 4 like the nuclear stuff and then architectural update. So there was constantly new stuff being pushed. >> So there was no reason for me to rush >> to complete the game. Um and yeah, I'm I'm I'm happy that these guys took >> forever to release 1.0 so that I could join the team. [laughter]
